We have been taking our poodle here for grooming over a year now. They book every appointment by text message and they keep the schedule well managed. They occasionally send emails to all the regular customers alerting us that we should book appointments in advance because the schedule is filling up because of the holidays or for whatever reason. This is helpful. Their prices are fair and reasonable compared to any other place we've been. They do a good job. The owner is very dedicated to customer service. We had a misunderstanding regarding an appointment for grooming. The staff member wasn't very helpful and we were frustrated. The owner immediately contacted us, apologized for the mistake and offered to make it right. She really went above and beyond to make us happy. It was a refreshing surprise to have a company respond like that. Mistakes and mix ups happen, this is just part of life. The fact that they care enough to make things right tells you everything you need to know about Lucar.

Absolutely awesome job done on our boy Ludo, it had been a while since he had been to the groomers and Lucar did a fantastic job. Not an easy job too, his mom is pure Siberian Husky and dad was Australian Shepherd. Can not recommend them enough.

Short review: very highly recommended! Longer: I'll be honest - I have always bathed my dogs myself and I thought paying for grooming was only for breeds that needed special treatment. When I adopted my most recent (rescue) dog a few months ago, a friend suggested that I take her to Lucar even though she's a short-haired bully - specifically so she could get used to other people handling her. I booked an appointment and added some special requirements (my dog has allergies). Everyone was SO nice and kind to both my dog and me! When I picked her up after the first appointment she was so soft, smelled so good, her ears were spotless, and her claws were trimmed and rounded smoothly. They followed my requests to the letter, too, which was comforting. We've had a few appointments since then and I've been impressed every time. Worth the (very) reasonable price, less stress for me and my dog, and I know she's in good hands. Thank you!!

Took my dog to Lucar after he got sprayed by a skunk. They managed to squeeze us in for a same-day appointment, which was amazing! We’d already tried to treat him at home, but he still smelled (as expected). The staff were super honest about it — no false promises — and they did a great job. Tony came out shiny, happy, and way fresher. Prices are fair and the people are really nice. Definitely going back … hopefully just for a regular grooming service. The skunk gets 0 stars.

I'm absolutely in love with Lucar! My cats were groomed by Ana, who might just be the cat whisperer, and she got them all so soft and shiny. They loved their time there (even my sassy lady, who got a little hissy toward the end of the visit, which is a win for her short tempered self!)
