I hired Maria Quattrone- Remax @ Home in March of 2025. I relied on their expertise and trusted they would guide me responsibly in the selling process. Instead, I felt unsupported, uninformed, and left to navigate everything alone. Based on my experience, I CANNOT recommend this team. From the start, the guidance and professional advisement I expected from them were essentially absent. I made several decisions—such as approving a $5,000 deposit on a $750k transaction and agreeing to extend the contract 4 times!—based on trust in their experience and representation. Additionally, as per the contract, the $5,000 deposit has yet to be released to me for this deal falling apart- details below. Our very first experience was shortly after we hired Maria. Someone from her team went to the property to make copies of the keys, however took the keys and kept them overnight. This caused us to miss an important inspection and prevented my maintenance team from accessing the building for a scheduled repair. Multiple tenants also reported their doors being left unlocked after showings, which left me extremely concerned. Once the property went under contract, communication became nearly nonexistent. Maria, the representative I hired, never communicated with me a single time throughout the entire transaction. I was instead directed toward someone else handling everything—something I was never informed about upfront. Even during the contingency period, no one from the team attended a single inspection or appointment, including those that were rescheduled multiple times. When I asked for clarification about an additional (4th) extension, Dara stated that I “had no choice” but to sign. As the owner, I did have a choice, and the manner in which this was communicated felt unnecessarily forceful and added to my concerns about the representation I was receiving. Based on the timeline I was given, I vacated 4 of 5 units as requested by the buyer. Yet the sale dragged on with no updates, no guidance, and no communication. When the deal ultimately fell through, I wasn’t notified by anyone on the listing side—I had to reach out to the buyer’s agent myself just to understand what was happening. This lack of representation and communication resulted in over $25,000 in losses due to vacancy and delays. To make matters worse, Remax @ Home, Maria Quattrone & Dara Ellis, are refusing to release me from the one-year listing agreement despite the repeated issues and lack of support. For many reasons, not all described here, I regret hiring this team.
