I’ve been suffering with psoriasis for a couple of years now. Doctors kept prescribing topical steroid creams which would temporarily help with itching but not really anything else. Next steps in Western medicine would be UV light therapy 3 times a week and if no sucess, ultimately medication. I decided to try acupuncture as Dr. Sarah has helped me with other chronic issues in the past. I’m so glad I did! Dr. Sarah recommended a treatment plan of acupuncture, custom herbs and lifestyle + diet changes. Over the course of my treatments, my flare-ups decreased—less redness, less itching, and my skin finally started to calm down. The constant irritation became much more manageable. If you’re dealing with psoriasis or other inflammatory conditions and feel like you’ve tried everything, I highly recommend giving acupuncture a chance here. Thank you Dr. Sarah!

Dr Liu is the best acupuncturist I’ve seen. I have multiple pain issues (elbow, back and leg) and she is very attentive and meticulous to find out the underlying problems. She and the massage therapist both show such dedication that go above and beyond my expectations in treating my issues, which have significantly improved. I’m really thankful and lucky to have found them!

Dr. Liu is truly an amazing and caring doctor — I honestly feel like she’s a mom to me as an international student. I’ve suffered from migraine headaches for many years and have tried countless treatments, but nothing really worked. My migraines were so severe that I had to go to the ER a few times due to extreme pain and near loss of consciousness. Unfortunately, my condition wasn’t frequent enough to qualify for the CGRP antibody injection, so I felt hopeless when Western medicine ran out of options. It was like living with a time bomb that could go off at any moment. I found Dr. Liu during this desperate time. At first, I was skeptical — I had tried Chinese medicine and acupuncture once or twice before without much improvement. But the first time she treated my fengchi trigger points, I immediately felt something different: a mild soreness, but also a remarkable clarity in my head. Even though I live in San Francisco, I decided to commute every other week to see her. After just a few sessions, my migraine frequency and intensity decreased by about 70–80%. Now that my headaches are much more under control, I finally feel confident planning my life and travels again. As a researcher at UCSF studying brain disease and women’s health, I’m deeply impressed by Dr. Liu’s knowledge. Whenever I mention new studies or perspectives, she understands the connections between Western and Chinese medicine and always offers insights that inspire me. Both Dr. Liu and the massage therapist, Mrs. Li, have taken incredible care of me. They listen carefully every time—whether I’m dealing with migraines, insomnia, period pain, or a cold—and tailor the treatment to my needs. Smart and compassionate doctor. Gave treatment to my mom that tremendeously helps with her chronic parotitis and nerve issue. Her acupuncture treatment, massage by the therapists, and herbs are spot on for greatly reducing the chronic pain for my mom. We're a believer in acupuncture and Chinese medicine now, thanks to a great first experience with her! The Western medication we had for months was just aimed at managing the pain, but her acupuncture and herbs have been successful in reducing the inflammation in the source area and restoring some nerve functions. All her team members are nice and friendly. Very straightforward with the pricing and reasonable pricing. Easy to access and ample parking. Clean office and enforced covid protocol to make you feel safe.
