We had an incredible dinner at Mei Asian Cuisine last night! From the moment we walked in, the service was top-notch , attentive and friendly. The food was the absolute star of the show. We started with the Crab Rangoon and dumplings , both of which were perfectly crispy and flavorful. We tried a couple of sushi rolls which were fresh and flavorful. For the main course, the Mongolian Beef was tender and served over those signature crispy noodles, and the Yellow Curry had just the right amount of heat and richness. We paired everything with their excellent cocktails—the Lemon drop Martini and the Margarita were the perfect refreshing touch. If you’re in Dallas and looking for high-quality Asian fusion with a great atmosphere and even better service, this is the spot.

Visited for: a 90s-style Christmas lunch with my little brother after a movie We had such a good time here. I loved how diverse the staff was and how the food still tasted authentic to my military brat raised tastebuds. They honored their lunch menu and specials (which is rare these days), and they were even advertising NYE specials. We ordered: kung pao chicken sesame chicken beef & broccoli fried rice cucumber avocado rolls beef steamed dumplings Everything was fresh and flavorful. My only critique is that the beef & broccoli had just a touch too much fish sauce, but not enough to keep me from coming back, I’d absolutely return. The restaurant itself is really cute (not “flower-wall-cute,” just genuinely nice). The bathroom was spotless and the soap smelled amazing, which tells me they care about the little details. Verdict: solid Asian spot, nice vibe, good food, great lunch value, I’ll definitely be back.

Surprisingly good for Asian in Lakewood, which if it exists at all, usually caters to ho-hum tastes. The unagi roll was very good; the jalapeño chicken lunch dish was decent, though not at all spicy. The country music playlist and Nickelodeon on the TV detracted from an otherwise pleasant lunch. I’d like to come back for dinner, as the full bar and table setup looks like a good date night kind of place.

Came here on the weekend since we saw that they have a happy hour all weekend with $2 mimosas! The asian food options were plentiful and really delicious- they have thai, chinese and japanese(sushi) sections. We enjoyed the veggie truffle roll for sushi, and tried the orange chicken and lo mein. Everything was great and they had a bunch of spicy sauces, chili flakes, etc to adjust the spice level of your dish too. Enjoyed this place a lot and will be back!
