I am pleased with the service I recieved at Meridian Computer. They brought my old laptop back to life and up to date. The service was fast and reasonable priced. I like dealing with an established business. They have been in business for decades.
DO NOT USE I asked them to transfer my data from my internal hard drive to an external hard drive. The computer screen was completely blacked out and had a corrupted IOS. He told me when I came to pick it up that he didnt have he right equipment to do the transfer so he gerryrigged the computer to get access to the files and transferred them - not what I asked for. The charge was $170 including the time he played with the computer to get at the files. The hard drive was wiped clean by Lenovo repair for the IOS and when I put the data from the external hard drive back on , there were a number of files missing and some even had partial data gone. I called and asked for my money back or at least a partial refund and he told me it was my responsibility to find another computer at a friends and check the 30GB piece by piece myself. I lost valuable files. He just got angry, raised his voice, and insisted it was my problem. Does not stand by his work.
I and my family have been customers for more than 20 years, since Sam was in his first shop at Leigh and Camden. He has built computers for us and repaired several. He and his teams competence, friendliness and helpful advice have much to us over the years. He knows the technology, understands its best uses and is willing to share that knowledge.
I came here expecting my computer to simply be built and take it back home but what I got was a great experience. I learned a lot about how to care for a computer, how to maintain it, and what to have on it to keep it running well. I did not expect any extra advice nor did I expect such friendly service! I intend to come back here again for any electronic related situations that I can't deal with myself because I know that I will receive amazing service that goes above and beyond what I paid for.
Great service! Quick turn around and very good price for repair of my lap top computer. Above all...They have great honesty and integrity. Will definitely return to this business for future electronics repairs.
