Sam our server was absolutely fantastic, clearly is very good at his job, his smile was infectious and made my partners first visit very enjoyable!! Jamie our grill chef cooked our steak perfectly, my partner said he had never had a steak like it. What a lovely way to spend a birthday, the card was a lovely touch, will be back very soon!!

Awful! We have been to this one a few times and it's been hit and miss, but we hadn't been for a long time so decided to revisit as reviews seemed to be on the up. We booked a table for 7pm but it was very busy, so we're told to grab a drink from the bar whilst we waited. No probs with this at all. However, we spent 15 mins waiting at the bar whilst 6 bar staff made drinks for the seated tables, 2 ladies told us they would be with us in a minute and a barman looked us (myself and others that were waiting) straight in the eye as he put glasses on a shelf. We didn't get served at the bar before our table was ready and then had to wait for our waiter to take our drinks order whilst seated. Our waiter couldn't of been less interested in us and just grunted at us when we told him our order. The food was nice, as you would expect in every other Miller and Carter, however, this venue can't cook a steak correctly. There was us and the 4 tables around us all complaining that their steak was overcooked. If youre going to call yourself a steakhouse, you should be able to get that right surely! There is no excuse for it being busy, you're a steak house, that's what you're saying your speciality is. Disappointing to say the least especially as the cost is more on the expensive side. I would recommend attending the Thornhill venue or the flagship restaurant in town during busy times or periods as not to be let down.

We had lunch today 15/01/25. Very welcoming greeting and an outstanding server, Steak Expert, who was charming, knowledgeable and knew how to put you at ease. The setting is traditional and the restaurant felt luxurious but not pretentious. We had 3 courses and each one was superb, nothing less. We weren't rushed and the tempo of the food service was just right. I can't praise this established highly enough. Clearly the team are to thank but the leadership must be strong/supportive. We will be back and we would highly recommend it to anyone who wants a special treat. Best wishes and thanks.

I’m not one to leave reviews as I have a food business of my own and negative reviews really aren’t nice but as it was Christmas Day and a lot of money have been spent I would like to share my experience, arrived at 4pm to be seated straight away which was great , didn’t even order a drink and the starters was out didn’t even finish the starter and the mains was out and the starters was being taken but not even finished, I had soup which was very nice but came with a huge lump of butter twice the size of the roll , main course was just awful didn’t eat any veg just ate the meat missing pigs in blankets then waiter brought 2 on a tea plate , server was okay but could tell he couldn’t be bothered and wanted to go home which I understand as it’s Xmas day dessert came out which was nice was there around 45min for a 3 course course Xmas day dinner very disappointing for the £105 PP , would not have Xmas day dinner here again and wouldn’t recommend Maybe it was because it was a late sitting and the staff had had enough but wasn’t great. Had high expectations left hungry and found a kebab van open on way home and had chips and bbq sauce. Terrible 😞

The food was absolutely lovely — especially the wagyu steak, bone marrow, and fresh bread! But the real highlight was the service. From the moment we sat down to the moment we left, we felt genuinely looked after. Joe was our server and he was incredibly friendly and proactive, always making sure we had everything we needed and that our evening was perfect. His hospitality was second to none and he truly went above and beyond (he definitely deserves a pay rise!). Thank you so much again, Joe — and compliments to Chef Cai for a fantastic meal ☺️
