DO YOUR RESEARCH BEFORE BOOKING If your priority is location, this hotel delivers. You are almost dead center in ft. Worth nightlife scene. That is the only guaranteed value. You are paying strictly for the address and the novelty. We specifically sought an authentic, historic, "haunted" experience and accepted the lack of modern comfort. You may not find the trade-off acceptable. Things to Consider.... Noise Levels: The rooms are situated directly above a high-volume bar. The music is loud and unavoidable. Service: Do not expect hospitality. The innkeeper was hostile and withheld basic information. There is a $25 CASH ONLY fee for checking in after 8:00 PM. This policy feels arbitrary rather than necessary. We presumed it was because she wanted to get to bed. Amenities: Most rooms do not have private restrooms. Only one suite includes an en-suite bathroom. Logistics: Weekend parking is incredibly difficult. expect to pay $$ at night time for parkin within a 2 block range. Value: The price point does not reflect the quality of service or the accommodation. We managed to have a good time because we create our own fun. Every other guest we encountered during our stay was vocal about their dissatisfaction.

We didn't stay there, we just took a look and went to the basement for a drink. My daughter and friends stayed overnight and it was definitely haunted!

The hotel itself was pretty good for historical value, and for that we weren't expecting anything grand. In fact we love the setting and ambiance of the hotel and room itself. The issue is with the inn keeper, she asked us when we would be there to check in, I told her abt 915pm that night as we were traveling back into town and hit heavy traffic and therefore would be late getting in as we had dinner plans with friends abt 45 miss from the stockyards. The inn keeper informed me that there would be a $50 late check in fee after 8pm, CASH !!!! The room has been paid for for 3 weeks at this point, and I haven't heard of a hotel even dealing in cash anymore, like they won't do it. We asked for owners name and number, she gives the main line to the hotel as she was texting from her personal number. Words were exchanged and connection lost. I tried calling back after I was hung up on, and I called 17 times, to the cell phone and main number, refused to answer, we were trying to tell them we canceled our plans to come there and check in b4 8 as she said she didn't legally have to allow us in after 8pm. We get there at 715, and we have to call several more times for an answer and once she didn't answer, we had to wait outside the hotel as the door was locked, for 22 mins in the middle of August in Texas. And once she got there, she was rude and confrontational. Loved the hotel, we were looking for a place to stay once a month in the stockyards, was gonna be this place, but will never stay there again bc of the keeper trying to scam us and still be rude with us abt it when we called her out. Horrible experience bc of the inn keeper

Loved the room and service. What i didn't like is good luck trying to find parking. I think they should have parking for guests. The party doesn't stop till around 2 am so don't plan on sleeping till after that. They have control over the parties. The long stairs is not good for people with leg problems. Still loved it there.

Such a fun experience, you definitely feel a different energy as soon as you go in, the Hotel is well kept and clean. Awesome experience if you're into paranormal activity. Miss Josie's room is where we experienced the most activity. We stayed at the Railroad room, didn't experience anything there. Would definitely go back, we were there 7/13/25
