MKG Madison is a fantastic gym. Best instruction in the city and incredibly friendly people. Guro Josh is super knowledgeable and Coach Mark taught a great grappling course! Very self defense oriented, but still always made it fun to train.

Take with a grain of salt as I only went for the beginner's kickboxing lesson. The instructor, Josh, is super friendly and a good instructor. The gym is nice. However, a friend of mine tells me the price is very high for what they offer. So before you commit here, make sure you compare different gyms. Although, if you have a lot of disposable money and want a very welcoming instructor, then MKG is definitely worth checking out.

Had a great time going to Kali class last Saturday doing some single and double stick combinations with footwork. There was a mix of beginners and experienced students who took the time to explain the drills. It was a fun and friendly atmosphere. Coach Josh Prior is very easy to talk to and gives clear instructions with repetitive demonstrations of the drills. I have met Josh at some seminars and camps in the last couple of decades and know that he I a very skilled martial arts and one of top ranking instructors under Rick Faye’s MKG International community.

Josh is an excellent teacher for people of all abilities and everyone at MKG goes out of their way to be as friendly and welcoming as you could imagine. MKG Madison provides a relaxed environment for stimulating workouts. Everyone at the gym is supportive and patient in helping students learn and improve. Josh was very considerate in helping me address my health concerns to make sure my experience felt safe and enjoyable. There's enough individual attention given to make sure new techniques are understood, without sacrificing the rhythm of class. This is a great place to learn, exercise, have fun, and develop new skills.
