From initial consultation/design to project completion, Jake (sales rep) and Frank (foreman) were excellent—professional, respectful, and responsive. While we were gathering quotes and designs, Jake was quick to provide a design and initial itemized estimate. His responsiveness and help to work within our budget put Modern Yardz ahead of the competitors.
While our project was a straightforward backyard demo, re-landscaping, and hardscaping, it included hauling, installing a retaining wall, re-fencing the perimeter, installing artificial turf, pouring concrete, and redoing the drainage system.
They were very flexible with our schedules, responsive to messages/calls, and attentive to details. While they subcontract out, communication was mostly seamless. The crew worked hard and quickly. If there was an issue, it was quickly resolved. We would have preferred getting materials options/prices earlier (e.g., turf, rocks, lighting, etc.) to better understand our project and options; and we could have asked more questions to confirm that we were all on the same page. For example, we weren't expecting a number of questions with the fencing subcontractor, which needed to be directly worked out with the Modern Yardz crew rather than us.
There were a few unexpected costs—this was our first major project like this, so we definitely learned a lot through the process as well. Despite some of those minor issues, we still enjoyed working with them and appreciate their work. We would definitely consider them for future projects.

The 2 dude’s that did the demo and landscaping were straight hustlers and had great attitudes the whole time. Doug built the deck and pergola and it’s just beautiful, he was also super nice. It was an absolute pleasure to work with this company and the mentioned above I will and would recommend them to family and friends.

E Sapvia Google My yard needed a total renovation, everything from end to end needed to be demolished and replaced with the exception of the pool. I received several recommendations but Modern Yardz had the earliest availability for a consultation. Frank came out to review my yard and my wish list of things...walls, pavers, turf, lighting, landscaping, pergolas. I had no idea where to start but Frank made me feel immediately at ease and guided me on some options. After that first meeting and walking through the virtual design, I decided I did not need to talk to another contractor and trusted that Frank and the Modern Yardz team could do the job. It ended up being a 3 month project with a few unplanned issues along the way, but we worked through them and Frank was always there to guide on the options and provided quick responses to all my questions. Sebastian the foreman and his team on the hardscape side were efficient and do quality work. They often made up project time when we had delays on other parts of the project. Everything was worth the wait. I went from having an old, run down backyard to a Modern Yard that I enjoy, morning to evening!

Modern Yardz stood out significantly due to their professionalism and clarity of pricing. Jake was our fantastic sales contact that was able to bring our idea into visuals and a 3D model. We had constant edits to materials and styles but Jake was able to get everything together and keep the project on track.
The results are exactly what we were hoping to accomplish. The workers were all very nice and worked incredibly hard. Thomas came out at the beginning to start the project off and multiple times in the finishing stages to make sure all loose ends were taken care of.
We are excited to spend the summer in our backyard thanks to Modern Yardz!
