Lovely polite staff, always warm and welcoming. Sadly recently the cakes have gone downhill a bit. Last couple of times I've nipped in I've had overbaked croissant treats. Hopefully they get back to their usual high standard soon 🤞
Tried this bakery today! Nice coffee and their pastry both savoury and sweet selection was amazing! We tried the sausage roll, roast fennel onion jam and feta , choux bun and pain au chocolat and mango passion fruit cake (tasted like cloud in the mouth)! Everything was really good , our top 2 favs were sausage roll (awesome flavour on the sausage and flaky pastry- it’s the best ever sausage roll ) and choux bun ( nice creamy custard filling)! In the pain au chocolat the distribution of chocolate could be more even, it was all at the bottom layer but overall was good as the pastry was really fresh and flaky! Cute little place, would like to try their fresh breads next time
The best bakery in Liverpool. They deserve a Michelin star or whatever the equivalent is for bakeries! Literally everything here both sweet and savoury is incredible. The staff are also really lovely.
I had their teriyaki chicken Sando in their shop on the spot as I was starving and it blew me away. The bread itself was so thick but soft, airy and fluffy, all the vegetables in the sandwich was very fresh and the chicken was seasoned well. I’m not too sure if they used any extra sauces but the whole Sando was 10/10. It’s the perfect Sando for brunch. It was slightly messy to eat because of the sauces but that did not stop me from finishing it. The strawberry and earl grey danish was a hit as well. The pastry itself was not tooth-achingly sweet. The sweetness came from the strawberry itself and a tad bit from the cream. The cream was filled with the scent and taste of earl grey. It was the best combination ever. I had a bite of the pistachio croissant and I wasn’t too sure what to feel about the texture. It has the croissant shell but at the bottom it’s a cookie like consistency. The taste is good nevertheless.
I first ordered Mon Petit Chou as a birthday treat in January 2021. After several months of parenting in lockdown I was finally alone in my house with only pastry for company. Fast forward to 2024 and I finally visited the shop as a birthday treat and it was well worth the visit! Cardamon bun, great loaf of bread and the coffee was also excellent. The only difficult thing is choosing what to buy.
