Another excellent gym for the greater Denver area! Grading difficulty is similar to the rest of the Movement gyms around Denver, and there was an exorbitant amount of wall space to explore. I definitely look forward to going back next time I'm home for the holidays. -1 star solely because I felt like, despite the gym being relatively new, a decent fraction of the handholds were uncharacteristically dirty. I'm assuming they inherited them instead of bought new, which is fine, but some more regular power washing wouldn't go unnoticed!
We celebrated my husband’s birthday here last night, and thanks to Brett, it was truly an unforgettable experience! We came with a group that included several little cousins climbing for the very first time, and Brett absolutely shined from the moment we arrived. He was incredibly welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable at the front desk, gently refreshing us “new-again” parents on safe climbing practices after years away from the sport. Brett has a rare gift for building confidence, not just for adults, but for kids too. He helped us feel completely comfortable and excited, and he turned what could have been a nerve-wracking first experience into pure joy for the kids and parents. The kids (ages one through five!) had an amazing time, and the adults felt supported and reassured every step of the way. I had no idea how family-friendly this place truly was, but Brett’s expertise and Will’s support and genuine enthusiasm elevated the entire experience far beyond our expectations. (Even Grandma got on the wall!) They didn’t just help us climb, they made memories for our family. This place is fantastic, and I have to say Brett is an absolute standout who deserves serious recognition (and a raise!). ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This place was so cool! If it’s your first time, you can take a class to get in for free. After that you pay. They offer a lot of obstacles and routes, some easy and some really hard! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone who wants to try rock climbing!
I love that there are Pride flags in the Movement gyms. It makes me feel like this is a truly safe and accepting place for everyone. It’s more than just a generic gym that stays silent; it’s a space that actively speaks up for those who don’t always get the chance to be heard. Climbing has always been rooted in rebellion, community, and welcoming people from all different backgrounds, and that’s exactly what makes it such an incredible sport. Thank you for creating a space that reflects those values. It’s a place I’m always genuinely excited to go too.
The top rope area is very diverse, and constantly changing. Super fun, the bouldering area less so. Not intermediate friendly I’d say. Either you can climb a v0 or a v7 so tough to improve from a beginner standpoint. Very good gear selection in the shop, and tons of employees who are very knowledgeable on the items. I genuinely love the employees here except I will turn around and leave if I see one specific employee. I do believe her name is Jordan, if I read her name tag correctly. Absolutely nasty attitude problem and genuinely seems like she just hates her job. Barking orders at customers and coworkers like she’s too good to be there, and yet when I asked her to help me get a size or climbing shoe she got the wrong size in the wrong shoe, wrong size again in a different wrong shoe, and wrong size in the correct shoe once again. Literally had to ask her to take the shoe off the shelf and bring it into the back with her with a sticky note with the size I had requested on it. Then, when it was time to checkout, she accidentally rung me up for an additional $50. That was one of my only interactions with her, however I have seen her mistreat people before me many times and I do hope she finds another job opportunity elsewhere that she might find more enjoyable as this gym has a very specific vibe that she trashes every time I see her some way or another. Regardless, I do absolutely recommend this gym if the price tag is not an issue for you and you enjoy top rope climbing!!
