By far, the best sushi in the Nation's Capital. Everything from the miso soup, the tempura shrimp to the nigiri and maki rolls was made with the freshest ingredients. Absolutely delicious. I will make the trek from Kanata to Orleans again and again.

My new favourite place to get sushi in Ottawa. This place is quite small but the service is impeccable and the food is fresh and tasty. The chef also gave a shrimp sashimi on the house and he also accommodated one of my requests of an item that was not on the menu.

We heard good things about Nagi and decided to try it on a very snowy midweek night. Small place with maybe 10 tables and a few bar seats - it was full till about 8:30pm and we were glad we made a reservation. We ordered the sushi and sashimi platter and it was a good amount for two - not too much but we definitely both left full. The sushi was nicely presented and very high quality. This was the most we’ve paid for sushi in Ottawa, but we both agreed we would come back for the quality - I do feel you get what you pay for. Service was friendly and attentive. If you’re looking for date night vibes, the atmosphere was very laid back and casual to an extent that surprised us - but we’d pick quality over atmosphere any day.

We came to Nagi Sushi for a date night. We ordered the wasabi marinated tofu, agedashi tofu, 30 piece sashimi platter, charashi, assorted tempura, uni, and unagi. Every bite of food was absolutely amazing. The sashimi was extremely fresh and melt-in-your-mouth. Every bite was better than the last one. As someone who has travelled to Japan, the food took me right back there! You can tell there is so much love and skill poured into each dish. On top of that, everything is reasonably priced for the quality of sashimi. The service was great! They offered to deep fry the shrimp heads once we finished the shrimp sashimi which was lovely. They also packed our food for us in the back!! If you have a moment to speak to the chef too, he is very kind and lovely to chat with. There is no doubt we’ll be coming back for future date nights and bringing friends and family. Thank you for the lovely dinner!

Honestly this was place was delicious!!! My friend and I tried to visit this place last weekend and made the mistake of not making a reservation so unfortunately didn’t get to eat there on Saturday night. But we were looking forward to it so much we decided to try again the next weekend and this time got a reservation at the bar on Friday night. So make sure to make a reservation if you are visiting on a Friday or Saturday night! But boy oh boy was this place worth it!! I ordered the Kaisen chirashi and everything in the bowl was so fresh! I loved the variety of the fish and everything melts in your mouth. The service was also top notch! The chefs wife was super sweet and friendly and all of the servers were always checking up on us to make sure we had everything we needed. If you are looking for Japan quality fish that is authentic and traditional, I would definitely recommend visiting this spot! It’s also worth the trek if you are coming from Kanata or the west end of Ottawa. I will definitely be going back 😄
