One of the best places I've ever trained. I have been to many different schools and trained many disciplines over the years and one thing I can say is nishime is a place to call home. The instructors are top notch, friendly, and always willing to help. Even beyond learning how to punch and kick the values of martial arts are felt in the air and community. Some of mine and my children's best friends are here at nishime.

This karate dojo has been an incredible experience for our kids. The instructors are patient, encouraging, and truly understand how to work with kids of all ages and skill levels. They create a positive, structured environment where children feel supported while learning discipline, focus, and respect. Classes are engaging and well-organized, keeping kids motivated and excited to participate. The instructors take the time to recognize each child’s progress, helping build confidence and a sense of accomplishment both on and off the mat. What really stands out is how much the dojo emphasizes character development alongside karate skills. Our children have grown not just physically, but emotionally, showing improved confidence, self-control, and perseverance. This dojo feels like a community, and we’re so grateful to be part of it. We highly recommend it to any parent looking for a program that truly invests in their child’s development.

Nishime has been a big part of our lives for the past 3 years. All of the instructors/owners are kind, knowledgeable, and wonderful with kids. There are plenty of weekly classes to choose from, and the community is extremely welcoming. Highly recommend!

It has been over a year since our children became members of the Nishime "family". I say the word family because it is truly the backbone of this dojo. Our children were immediately welcomed and incorporated in the environment. The instructors are knowledgeable, personable, and patient. I saw an ad for Nishime on Facebook last summer and had recently read that children with ADHD can learn discipline and focus through martial arts. I have witnessed this firsthand with my son. He, while initially anxious to even enter the dojo, has found confidence in his inner-strength and has been learning to control his "eyes, mind, and body". He is motivated to earn "stripes" and is always asking when his next belt test is. Something I notice as an educator myself is how tasks are delegated to younger students so they are given the opportunity to develop leadership skills; these kids are thriving because they are trusted. I very strongly recommend this dojo if you want your child to challenge themselves and their abilities in the safety and care of professional experts.

Nishime Martial Arts has been such a wonderful experience for our family! My niece and nephew both attend, and they absolutely love it. The instructors are not only skilled but also so encouraging and patient with the kids. They’ve created a positive environment where the students learn discipline, respect, and confidence while also having fun. We’ve especially seen so much growth in my niece. Her confidence and focus have really flourished since joining. It’s been amazing to watch her progress and carry those lessons outside the dojo as well. I can’t recommend Nishime enough!
