North Sydney yoga is a brilliant community of highly skilled yoga teachers. It is genuine and without the mat rental fees of other studios. I attended ashtanga classes regularly but now live far away and am devastated to not be able to attend classes whenever I want, because I felt I had found my yoga home. The teachers are actively helping you improve, and encourage your yoga journey with an expert guidance. Highly recommend for those at all levels.
My friends took me to North Sydney Yoga, and it was my first time attending a Mysore class. I was nervous about getting lost during the sequence, but Angelika and her team ensure you don’t lose your way in your practice and support you to find your own way through the ashtanga series. Angelika is a teacher who supports you with clarity and gentle strength, which I truly appreciate. She has an incredible understanding of individual bodies, their capacities, and their limitations. I value that she not only provides support and explains how to approach different asanas but also delves into the reasons behind them. As someone new to Ashtanga, she has given me a deeper understanding of this beautiful practice. The studio has a very special, welcoming and warm atmosphere, created by the teachers and students. When you walk up the stairs to enter the space, your senses are immediately activated. If you're in the area and looking for a studio, you should give North Sydney Yoga a try!
Having tried Yoga classes everywhere, I finally found a “home” where the community and most importantly, the teachers, are excellent and nurturing.
