Orale Mexican Kitchen in Jersey City was such a great find. We were craving Mexican food and stumbled upon this spot, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. The ambiance is vibrant and fun, perfect for a date night or a group get-together. There’s artwork throughout the restaurant, but my favorite sight had to be the wall of Jarritos. For appetizers, we ordered the Shrimp Ceviche, Garlic Chile Truffle Fries, and the Guacamole Tasting (Guacamole Casa, Mañanitas, and Bombero), and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. For our mains, we tried the Enchilada SuizSuizana Tacos, Pacifico Tacos, and the Wood-Grilled Pollo Tacos...each dish was excellent (we of course also asked for Chipotle Mayo on the side). The highlight of the night was the thoughtful birthday surprise experience, which made the evening even more special. We finished with the Tres Leches Cake and Churros. From the ambiance to the service to the food, everything was a 10/10. A big shoutout to our server, Andy! We’re looking forward to coming back soon!

Staff members are happy to explain ingredients, preparation methods, and pairing recommendations. While prices are on the higher end, the quality of the food, the creativity of the menu, and the overall dining experience fully justify the cost. This is not just a meal — it’s a celebration of modern Mexican gastronomy. Highly recommended for special occasions or anyone looking to experience Mexican cuisine at its finest.

Amazing! I loved the vibe when we walked in and the staff was super welcoming. Our server, Jessie, was so friendly and accommodating. We truly enjoyed every single dish we tasted! We tried the Saturday special, short rib! It was SO good. The cocktails were also wonderful. The house made marinara sauce with the cheese sticks was the best I’ve ever tasted. You can tell everything is made with really fresh ingredients and from scratch. If you’re looking for an amazing meal with very unique flavors, this is it!

I always wanted to try Orale but never ended up going before. I finally tried it in October and was super impressed! Stepping into this restaurant feels like entering a vibrant fiesta—gorgeous and colorful decor that is absolutely stunning! The music adds more energy to the space! The cocktail menu is simple, yet offers inventive options alongside classic favorites. Mine was crafted well and tasted delish! The food was absolutely delectable—it’s zesty, authentic and beautifully-spiced. The portions are good and the presentation shows careful attention to detail! The service was warm and attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, this spot is a definite go-to for the vibe, drinks, and food. I super recommend and look forward to going back!!

I visited here two times but both were average, not impressive at all. Their cocktails are good but all the tacos were just okay. I don’t think I’ll visit again. Carnitas was dry and there was no sauce or dressing. Guac was good but chips were just okay. The black bean was the only good thing on the table.
