Orto goes from strength to strength. The Bedford Street unit is buzzing and nearly full at lunchtime on a Wednesday. Just popped in for a starter and salad between meetings, and was shown to a table straightaway. The waitress was obviously well-trained, friendly and professional. She even complimented my jewellery, which as every woman knows, is the ultimate acknowledgement. Mild Jalapeño Mini Peppers are stuffed with cream cheese and lightly fried, before being sprinkled with a delicious and crunchy pangrattato. I didn't order pizza on this occasion but from previous visits I can state that there's nowhere doing better pizza in downtown Belfast. My salad was Beetroot and Goat's Cheese, served with those tiny little bright pink pepperincinos that bring crunch and sweetness. A honey dressing and rocket leaves completes the picture. I ran out of time to try anything else but I'm planning to try the Tirimisu on my next visit. Lovely service, great food, Orto deserves all the good things people say about it.

Amazing staff in both service and knowledge. Food tastes exactly as anticipated. There’s no rush on your booking to leave in 60 minutes etc. Great experience, would definitely recommend.

Great experience as usual at Orto - I’ve eaten in the Stranmillis restaurant a few times before and the Bedford Street restaurant is much the same. Great choice on the the menu and the food is fantastic. I also like that they serve a local craft pale ale (Modest Beer), which goes really well with their pizza! The atmosphere is great - the place is light and airy, yet relaxed and cosy. The staff are very attentive without being intrusive. The only negative for me is that it is slightly on the pricey side, but it’s worth it for the consistent quality you get at Orto. Would fully recommend it to anyone.

First time at the Bedford Street restaurant, was able to book earlier in the day for an early dinner slot. Staff were all very friendly and helpful, great selection on the menu so we chose a couple starters to share - Crispy Lasagne bits and the Nduja arancini, both delicious. Got a pizza each and shared, also brought some home. Will definitely be back! Great atmosphere, groups, couples and families all in.
