My experience with this clinic: To date, I have spent over $10,000 in an effort to obtain answers for my dog’s chronic nasal discharge. Following CT imaging and rhinoscopy here, he was diagnosed with lymphoplasmacytic rhinitis, and we have diligently followed all treatment recommendations provided by the attending veterinarian. Unfortunately, the prescribed treatment has differed only slightly from medications he was already receiving prior to these extensive diagnostics, with no meaningful improvement in his condition. Since the diagnosis, continuity of care has been extremely poor. The veterinarian overseeing my dog’s case has gone on vacation twice, and during these absences there appears to be no coverage or handover of ongoing cases. As a result, responses to urgent and time-sensitive emails frequently take several days, leaving my dog without timely medical guidance. Following the rhinoscopy, I returned to the clinic due to significant concern about my dog’s condition. He was in visible distress with an elevated heart rate, and I was worried he may have developed pneumonia as a complication of the procedure. I was charged $85 for a recheck appointment, only to be told to “go home and return if he gets worse,” without further investigation or reassurance. The video attached was my dog after that visit, and when it was emailed to the clinic, the client care team said to come back in and that they wouldn't charge for another recheck.. within an hour of his last visit. On another occasion, we were sent home with an incorrect prescription dosage, which further eroded my confidence in the care being provided. In addition, I was charged $126 for an AeroChamber, an item that is readily available for approximately $80 through common retailers. A couple of weeks ago,, after emailing the veterinarian to report that my dog’s symptoms were returning, it took a 20-minute phone call simply to book an appointment 10 days away—to discuss the same symptoms already outlined in prior email communication. Despite arguing that the symptoms had been discussed, we were forced to book a recheck that resulted in restarting our dog on the same antibiotics he was previously told to discontinue after 3 weeks. Another 85$ charge for absolutely nothing that couldn't be communicated over one short email. Most recently, I emailed to inquire about how I should proceed with his medication which runs out in 8 days, and was told I would have to book yet another appointment/recheck (2 weeks after the previous one), despite the fact that we knew from the beginning that my dog would have to be tapered down/off this medication. Now I'm left unsure of how to proceed unless I spend another 85$. I'm exhausted dealing with their front desk. Overall, this experience has left me feeling that my concerns are not being taken seriously and that my dog’s wellbeing is not being prioritized. This is particularly disheartening given my past experiences with other veterinary specialists, including two prior knee surgeries at a different clinic where follow-up care was included and communication was timely and supportive. I entrusted your clinic with my dog’s care in good faith, expecting thorough follow-up, accurate prescribing, reasonable transparency in pricing, and continuity of care—especially after such significant financial and emotional investment. Regrettably, these expectations have not been met. We had a bad feeling about this clinic from our first visit, however after extensive research, this was the only clinic available in a reasonable timeframe for the recommended testing. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve patient care, communication practices, and case management moving forward.
About two weeks ago to the day we had to put down our beautiful big boy Lennon down, it was a very high emotional time with myself and my boyfriend but the way the vet, vet techs and the whole team were super compassionate and helpful. Quinn was our vet for the night but I feel so bad because I do not remember the euthanasia doctor who did the last step, they both were very helpful and amazing to do what they do, me and my boyfriend talked about how compassionate they were and noticed with some of the employees crying a little which really moved me. The vet techs were also very compassionate and helpful. We got Lennon back not even a week after he passed and him and his box is so beautifully done and brings me comfort (lennon is in his favourite thing, his own little box) I was so emotional and same with my boyfriend I feel so embarrassed but it was comforting to know Lennon was taking good care of in his last moments.
They saved my cat! I will forever be grateful to Paramount for tending to my sweet boy after he developed severe ileus. The first night they said they would keep him, I knew he was in good hands (I still cried in my car for an hour) I’d never been in my home without my cat, and I was scared he’d never come home again. I’d never seen him so sick. Paramount called me twice a day, every day, for the 8 days while my cat was in care. He had a procedure on Christmas, and the staff and doctors were so kind on ensuring my boy was going to be safe, called and texted me updates, and made sure I took care of myself too, while he was sick. They were always so sweet during my visits, and I could tell the doctors and nurses truly develop a bond with each pet; getting to know their unique personalities. They always answered my thousands of questions, and I am eternally grateful for being able to bring my boy home. Everyone here, even the other customers are kind, all sharing the mindset that we’re in a place we never expected to be in. Everyone is empathetic and kind, no matter what time you’re there. I’m so happy I chose Paramount, and will continue to! Amazing doctors and lovely staff!! Thank you so so so much!!! Xoxo!
I had to put my cat down last Friday. I am so appreciative of Paramount. Considering my circumstance it was the best the experience could be. I went to Alpine the week before and I got shoved into an exam room with my cat and waited two hours. Paramount grabs your pet immediately and takes them back for care. The facility is beautiful. They have a machine for coffee/tea/hot chocolate. I was pretty faint and the girls went and got me a fruit roll up. They were super sweet. The couches are very comfy for potential waits. I only waited 20 min. The doctor was amazing. She radiated kindness. She waived my exam fee after I made the call to euthanize. I was truly grateful for her. I’m so fortunate to have been guided here to go through my loss. Do not hesitate to come here.
I had to take my elderly dog for an emergency visit at 2am and sadly had to put her down. The staff were extremely compassionate and caring and treated my sweet girl with so much love and compassion. The vet was very gentle with me as well, thoroughly explaining everything with tact and so much kindness (good bedside manner). Even though they were busy, they didn’t rush anything with us. They let me stay with her in the back for as long as I wanted and even after she took her last breath they talked to her and treated her so carefully. I got her cremated with a beautiful urn and requested her little nose prints as well (which turned out perfectly and just the way I remember her sweet little snout). A couple weeks after her passing I received the most beautiful card signed by all the staff, with thoughtful handwritten notes (not just quick signatures). It was truly comforting. I know all vets are costly and I believe this is the going rate, but my bill came to $700 for an assessment (18 lb dog), vitals, IV and euthanasia, and private cremation with engraved urn (they don’t charge any extra for 24 hour emergency services)… but just a heads up if you have to make the painstaking decision to have to do this with your pet, just be prepared for the bill (like I said though, I’m sure this is probably pretty average pricing… I just haven’t had to euthanize a pet in years so wasn’t mentally prepared for a large vet bill to say bye to my little girl). If I recall it was only about $150 more get her privately cremated and custom urn. Overall, as horrible as the situation is, I believe they made it as peaceful, gentle and loving as they could possibly be. The lady at the front desk had the most gentle and compassionate voice when explaining everything, it was so unbelievably comforting giving the situation
