Amazing cafe! Bartistas are friendly and coffee is great! Such a gem in the Exchange District
I have been hanging at Parlour Coffee recently, whenever I have an early morning gig in that neck of the Winnipeg woods. And what a neck it is. The Exchange District is beautiful and, after a recent trip to Toronto, while sitting peacefully with my Americano facing Main Street with my one shot espresso, I quietly decided that, actually, I prefer Winnipeg. Parlour is part of that. The staff are warm and friendly - last time the barista and I chatted about how we both hail from West Broadway and had run here in the rain on this particular morning, he with a "Handsome Daughter" T on. The coffee is wonderful, as is the decor and the other regulars, one a youngish patron who's always lowkey stylishly dressed, a Wpg thing, drawing beautiful little diagrams (pictures?) with focused energy on a stool at the big, street facing front window. We have now exchanged acknowledging quiet smiles a few times - howdy, partner sort of thing. I think the absence of wifi encourages connecting, with self, others, one's passions. My only mild suggestion for improvement? The servers, all with their lovely energy, could remember to ask whether you're staying or going, as in the case of the former, they will provide you with a lovely little plate, napkin, and, if you want it, a self-serve water you can draw into a tasteful little tumbler. Bottom line? Hey, while I admittedly am not a coffee aficionado, I have been to a lot of Wpg coffee shops and this is my favourite.
I ordered a cortado. The service was great, the coffee was great, and the atmosphere was great!!
Parlour Coffee is a great shop in the Exchange neighbourhood. Their drip coffee has always hit the spot and they provide good customer service. The giftware shelf is beautifully curated and a nice pass of time to look at if it’s a busy day there.
Went here after doing a session at the Community and the service and employees were so nice and friendly. The iced matchas were really tasty as well, however the straws they have break extremely easy so I would recommend maybe getting different ones- I honestly wouldn't even mind paper over what was given. The vibes were really nice, wish the hours were longer as sitting and working would be really nice.
