Very disappointed, they promised to come quote numerous times, but never turned up. If this is the way the treat potential customer, I am glad they are not doing the work.

John was very prompt getting back to us on the same day to see the work to be done and give a quote. He was very motivated and started early working very hard with a keen eye for detail sanding, painting and caulking our stairs and bannister. He did a few coats to ensure the finish was perfect and recommended the type and quantity of paints to buy. He worked around our joiner and adjusted his timescale for the work accordingly. The stairs were finished to an extremely high standard and would definitely have him back for any paint jobs in the future.

We shopped around for a decorator to paint our communal stairwell, and asked for quotes from several companies - very few traders even bothered to get back to us. But John at Pentland Painting phoned me back promptly, make arrangements to visit and gave us a comprehensive and reasonable quote. When the work started, they were polite, considerate, effective, thorough and the completed work is really great. It took a few days longer than expected because the weather changed which affected the drying time of the paint, but even though this was totally out of his control, John make sure I knew what the issue was and how much longer we might expect, which helped us plan and prepare. They were brilliant all-around and would recommend them to anyone - I actually enjoy coming home now because the place looks so excellent. I can't recommend them enough!

John and his team at Pentland were, in a word, excellent. We picked them to do our stairwell redecoration because of his care in explaining the work, his attention to detail, communicativeness, and forthrightness. This trust was borne out over the 3 weeks taken to do the job – much of the job was preparation – scraping, filling, sanding, priming, etc. He and his team never skimped on effort or time, always did was was required to do a top quality job, and did everything that his quote included. They were cheerful, positive, polite, always had time to answer questions, cleaned up thoroughly at the end of each day, took the estimated time to completion, and had no trouble attending to what little persnickety touch-ups we requested. We could not be more pleased with the results, and are very happy to have chosen them from the 4 quotes we obtained. They were not the cheapest of the 4 quotes, but we feel they were (and so it proved) by far the best choice. Our stairwell is like a different world, and with the careful preparation and quality of the work, will last decades.

He done a wonderful job exactly what I wanted and everything was left so clean and tidy with his special dust machine.
