I usually get my deliveries by Chewy, but I recently moved to the area and forgot to update my address and was out of cat food. First time here today and I was immediately greeted when I walked in. The shelves were looking pretty bare throughout the cat department, but staff asked if I needed help finding anything, and assured me that they were being restocked that evening. They actually had what I needed in stock and at a better price than Chewy. I'd make this my local store for any future pet needs.
I would give this 1 star, but the staff were very friendly, which is the only redeeming quality of this pet supplies store. They were low on stock of almost everything in the whole store. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt since it is the holiday season and they have deals around this time. The worst thing is how filthy the self-dog wash station is. There’s hair everywhere, and it seems like there’s buildup as if they haven’t cleaned it in a week (or weeks). It’s small, and in all honesty, it just seems ghetto. The shampoos that they offer are all covered in dog hair, and you can barely read what they’re supposed to be for (puppy, deodorize, etc.). The floor was also filthy and disgusting. This is the only pet supply store where the staff turns on the water for you and sets a 30-minute timer so you can wash your dog. The blow dryer that is provided is literally falling apart. I couldn’t even properly clean and dry my dog all the way, just because of how filthy it was. It takes a lot for me to write a bad review on a place, but this was just so unsanitary. This is honestly just putting me off from going to pet supplies altogether.
Staff was really friendly and helpful. They mentioned they were breaking away from the larger petsuppliesplus chain to go independent. I liked the vibe of the place, and will definitely be back over going to Petco or petsmart.
I needed help washing my dog, and I got it at Pet Supplies. Then I forgot to tip the dog washer, which they said wasn't necessary, but he was good with my girl and I would have tipped him if I'd remembered. So I thought hey, I'll write a review and mention him. And now I can't remember his name. So I'm messing up here, but he didn't. First off, I think this is the only place you can wash your dog after 6 in this town. Mostly I think that's a self dog wash kind of thing, but I had help last night and it was appreciated. Also this place has a great selection of supplies. They are aptly named. And I've got me a clean and happy doggie. I need to remember that this place is here. It's a good pet store. Oh and there is a wheelchair ramp near the door for those of you who like to know that sort of thing about a place before you go.
I am visiting Austin with my pug. He really needed a bath. They accepted my out of town pre-purchased DIY dog wash card. The set up was very different than my home town store. I was very pleased. The employees were helpful and friendly. I much prefer this store to Petsmart.
