Pet Suites Chisolm Trail is a great place for boarding my dog. She loves to go there. I don’t have to worry about her when I travel. I know they give her the best of care.
Verified they could take care of my dog prior to boarding. My dog needs to wear shoes at night. They upsold me to a “relaxation pack” to help dogs calm for their first night. They didn’t give it. They upsold me on extra potty breaks. They didn’t give it. I had to check in with them halfway through her stay (thank god for the dog cameras or I’d never known) To remind them of the things THEY upsold me on. They didn’t have her lunch given in the treat dispenser I provided so she was just hungry all day. My dog came home with infected wounds, an ear infection, wet kennel cough and sores on her muzzle. Her belongings smelled like pee and she was wearing her front paw shoes on her back feet. They are different sizes and were clearly labeled. When I asked about the neglect, they admitted to it and apologized until I asked for a refund for the services they obviously couldn’t provide. Then they refused to take responsibility and stated “my dog was taking her own shoes off” even though I have recordings of her chewing her feet (no shoes in the room) for multiple days. I have texts multiple times asking them to put her shoes on. My calls have gone ignored every time except for once. They do not answer the phone. Always giving the “sorry I can’t do my job watching dogs because there’s too many dogs to watch.” But every time I was in the center, they were hanging out, bad mouthing customers at the front instead of in the back watching the dogs. Uhm? Okay. I did notice once that she had taken her shoe off because I COULD SEE IT IN THE ROOM. They then stated I could have $100 store credit (why would I want to utilize dog neglect services?) and that it was my fault that they couldn’t provide the service they said they could. It’s not hard to read. Currently seeking legal help since they don’t want to provide customer service either. Disgusting. I now understand why I’ve never wanted to board my dog. Absolute worse outcome possible. Sucks because they seem so sweet and capable. Don’t let the tour fool you.
It was our first time with PetSuites and with our dog being at a boarding facility. They were very thorough and communicated effectively about our dog's insecurities and progress. Our dog had an exit bath with nail trimming and she was definitely excited to see us upon picking her up. They had wonderful words about our dog's first time experience, too. I would recommend.
My dog Apollo loves this place ! I was a little nervous at first with boarding him because he is a more “people oriented” dog but he has had 2-3 different overnight stays here and it has been perfect. I enjoy the “pawgress “ reports they let me know he’s getting the extra attention! They even called me one time to let me know my pup was having stomach issues. It is great knowing when I am out of town that my baby is getting well taken care of. I just got a puppy that I am waiting to bring to puppy preschool as soon as he gets his vaccines . Nothing but good things to say about this place .
Sadly need to leave a review to warn other pet owners to call and specifically check in on their dogs in boarding to ensure the collars the staff puts on their dogs are not too tight!!! This was our second time boarding our dogs at the Chisholm Trail location in the private suites. This time around we picked up our dogs and our basset pup had sores around his neck. We did not drop him off with sores/an oozing infection on his neck and picked him up this way after only 2 NIGHTS in boarding. Horrified and saddened to think of how bad this would’ve been had we left him in boarding longer than just the 2 nights. I took a look at him at pick up and noticed instantly. I walked back in to ask what had happened - the girl at the front desk showed no empathy and merely told me she didn’t see anything in my dogs notes from his stay. She wouldn’t even take a moment to look at the wound on his neck. I felt dismissed and drove home in tears to clean him up. The sores were very enflamed and stunk from excreting fluids from his skin. My husband checked in and was told a manager would be in touch. The manager TEXTS us (no phone call) basically says that it couldn’t be their fault and noted that collars are not placed on dogs, but hopes our dog feels better. This is incorrect and collars are placed on dogs so clearly she is not involved with the day-to-day. They place paper collars on dogs at drop off and ours was clearly put on our puppy’s neck too tightly which caused this rash/infection. Its been about two weeks and he still has scabs from this. :( if you need to use this boarding service please check in on your dogs. I am shocked and sad after this experience with the quality of care we received in private suites and at the response from the team. Complete lack of acknowledgement and empathy. Poor standards for care. We can’t trust this location with our boys and will not return.
