Had dinner here for the first time several months ago and it was absolutely delicious! Brought a friend this time and really bragged on the place only to be severely disappointed. The service was great and of course the atmosphere is fun with the western theme and the tie cutting thing. What really landed flat this time were the dry, thin, chewy ribeye steaks. Enjoying ribeye steaks is a guilty pleasure for us. We love how juicy and savory each bite can be as it melts in our mouths. The only thing melting during this visit was our expectation of a delicious meal. We've never had a ribeye that was this chewy and lacking in flavor. We waited several weeks to write this review because we didn't want it to be reactionary and overly negative. Our last visit was positive and there are tons of five star reviews so we're going to chalk this up to just a bad luck day at Pinnacle Peak steakhouse. FYI-The beans are bland, the bread so so and you have to pay extra for a baked potato.
This has become our favorite dining experience in Tucson. My family is from here and I guess it's becoming a tradition when we visit from MA. The food is great! I didn't need a knife to eat my brisket and my husbands steak was perfectly cooked. If only I had room to help my mom with her ribs, lol! Our server was fantastic with our party of 11 including 3 littles. She even got the birthday song going for my daughter-in-law. The live show we attended after was funny and quite entertaining. It was a cold December night so I appreciated the heating towers as well as the explosions that were part of the show. Thank you to all who are a part of this great night out!
Best place in Tucson for kids, don't forget to wear a tie to dinner! Live action show is a real blast - you will actually feel the heat from the explosions! Train ride a kid favorite too.
So many reviews for this spot but it’s not that good. Got the steak and was a bit scared too was it cause wasn’t sure if it was cooked the way I wanted it. My cousin didn’t like her ribs. They are not fall off the bones. It was hard. We started with the sampler. Didn’t like the tortilla chips and the salsa could have been better. They give you one quesadilla that looks like u can make at home. The Mac and cheese tasted like it’s from the box. The salad and mash potatoes kinda tasted like old country buffets (ranch and gravy). I think beans were suppose to come with the meal but was never brought out. The bread was thick sandwich bread slices.
We were a party of 15 and all of us enjoyed! Great service where 1 server remembered each of our orders and who ordered them. Make sure you do or don't wear a tie! You'll see what happens.
