Brigid Caldwell’s conduct as a Guardian ad Litem raises serious concerns. Instead of focusing on the best interest of the child she was appointed to serve, she has shown favoritism toward personal connections, which has come at the expense of a young Black child’s welfare. A Guardian ad Litem is expected to act with impartiality and integrity, yet her actions undermine trust in the juvenile court system and the youth organization she represents. For the protection of children and the credibility of Counter Punch Youth Academy, she should not remain in any position of trust.
