My son has adhd and we were struggling with his energy and discipline at home, so we sought out karate to see if it would help. It’s been over a year now and this dojo was just what we needed! My son and my husband now take classes here, and I’ve seen such improvement for my little dude! Not only is he learning self-defense, but also life lessons like nutrition, respecting others, and being kind. The instructors are all so kind and passionate about what they do for the kids. The birthday parties are super fun too!

We have been so happy with our daughter’s progress here. Sensei Steven and sensei Randy are such good motivators who work so hard to give her not just an amazing workout but also to push herself so hard. She is motivated and has this drive to succeed with their encouragement. I am so happy we made the decision to enroll her.

Mixed Experience – Felt Judged & Overcharged I had high hopes for this martial arts program, believing it could provide the structure and support my kids needed. My second son didn’t even get to complete his paid trial due to instructor availability issues, and no effort was made to make up for the missed sessions. After just one class, they suggested he “might not be a fit” because he struggled to make eye contact and had extra energy—implying it could be a distraction. That felt discouraging, as I hoped they would be more understanding. With my oldest, they may have tried, and it probably wasn’t entirely their fault that it didn’t work out. He might have needed more support than they were equipped to provide. But at the same time, I couldn’t shake the feeling of being judged. They emphasized respect, yet I felt scrutinized for our situation—without them truly knowing what we deal with. The biggest frustration was being overcharged even after we had all agreed the program wasn’t the right fit. That left a bad impression and made an already disappointing experience worse. If your child needs extra patience or accommodations, this might not be the best fit. While they may try, I wish there had been more communication and understanding from the start.

Our child has been enrolled at Premier for about 2 years, and they love it. In that time they have offered extremely relevant and positive lessons at their stage of development. The classes have evolved as our child has. Listening, discipline, a positive attitude, and of course martial arts. Sensei Randy is an incredible leader and he is great with the kids. Would highly recommend to develop a strong and responsible child.

My son loves Martial Arts! He is not too much into team sports and he has really enjoyed this sport. One of the things he liked so much is that on his birthday the instructors made him a wood board with his name that he got to break in front of the class. Highly recommend it!
