I love that I can take a class almost every day and always leave feeling great. Pure Barre has not only improved my overall strength, but it's also made me a better runner and given me the balance and stability to improve as a climber. The classes are diverse, challenging, and target all muscle groups, making them an essential part of my routine and a great complement to my other hobbies. In addition, all the instructors are amazing and very encouraging. I enjoy the Downtown Oakland Pure Barre community and although I am awfully shy I still feel like I am a part of the crew.

The amazing community at PB Uptown means it’s not just about moving my body but having friendships and conversations that I look forward to each week. There’s a culture of doing what your body needs and getting better with each class. I can’t imagine working out anywhere else!

I've been coming to this Pure Barre location for about five months and it's great! I definitely feel stronger in my core and posture. I haven't loved Barre that much in the past, but I really enjoy it here. It feels very welcoming and diverse. They have classes at convenient times and they're not overcrowded. Because of timing, most of the classes I've taken have been with Helen or Greer who are both great! I like that the different flavors of Barre are sort of like Barre mixed with other types of exercise. My favorite is normally Define, but I do all of them depending on my schedule. They also offer new types of classes that are mixed and have various events going on. All in all a great place!

I really enjoy what pure barre Oakland has to offer. The classes are HARD. The teachers are nice and I like the variety of personalities in the teachers and variety of people taking class. The strength (define) classes are really helpful for functional life and Gisela’s cues have helped me improve with form in and out of class. The studio also does a good job of doing stuff to keep members engaged like challenges and raffles or other prizes. I do miss Reform class format though and wish they would do them every now and then as a treat!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Pure Barre classes! The mix of classes and the actual workout moves that are a mix of disciplines is exactly what I need! I love that the moves are carefully selected to target core areas and the Instructors are AWESOME! I took the initial challenge and did 10 classes in 30 days, and I am so glad I did! My range of motion is better and my core is getting better and better every day!
