Not a great. Been a member for a while (unfortunately) and although I can appreciate that there's not a lot the managers can do about the space (the gym is so small), there's other things that NEED attention. There's lack of ventilation. Small space with a lot of people and no AC working? It constantly smells. It's constantly boiling. The equipment is old and there's just NOT enough of it. Only 2 smiths machines? Are you joking? The place is also not exactly clean but it's definitely cleaner than usual after some guy made a viral video about reviewing this puregym and giving it a catastrophic score. Overall I would not recommend anyone to join and I am currently on the hunt for a better gym because I'm so tired of this one

Been an member for over 10years, the one day I found a barbell with weights already on there so done couple sets and left it how I found it, pure gym decide to suspend my account, then expect me to go out my way and beg the manager! So all new member please note your gym membership fee also includes the bit that you have to tidy up everything you touch! Absolutely bonkers! Decide to cancel… £6 extra per month gets you dw gym that includes sauna, jacuzzi and steam room! No brainer

Love the spin classes but please sort the bikes out. Half of them have no monitor, the straps are broken and the gears don’t work. Fed up of having to try 3 or 4 different ones every morning.

This gym is fantastic and excellent value for money, especially as there’s no contract — people stay because they genuinely enjoy being here. The gym is very well managed, and the staff are great: friendly, professional, and always happy to help. The PureGym app is also simple and convenient to use. Management have been proactive in making sure members have access to free parking and don’t risk fines from UKPC, who run the car park. Much appreciated!

Working with Otis has been an absolute game-changer! He’s not only incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and training, but he also knows how to motivate and push you without ever making it feel overwhelming. Every session is tailored to my goals, and he takes the time to explain the “why” behind the exercises, which makes a huge difference. His energy, positivity, and professionalism make training something I actually look forward to. I’ve seen real progress both physically and mentally since starting with him, and I can’t recommend Otis enough to anyone looking for a personal trainer who genuinely cares about your success.
