Best tea room, service, and food ever! The Queen Mary is our all time favorite, I’ve been visiting from Tacoma for the last 27 years! We recently celebrated Christmas and I messed up my reservation-indicating 4 instead of 5. I forgot to count myself! 🤦🏼♀️ And Mary, the owner, was incredibly gracious and accommodated our seating. Thank you! All of the staff is terrific and the emporium is fantastic! I wish we had a tea room here in Tacoma! 🎅🏻🎄☕️🇬🇧🤶🏻🎁

My mom and I visited Queen Mary's Tea Room for afternoon tea, and we were thoroughly impressed. The ambiance was absolutely delightful—perfectly capturing the essence of a traditional afternoon tea. We opted for the berry-flavored seasonal teas, which were delicious, and the staff even offered us a couple of additional tea samples to try, which was a nice touch. The sides were both unique and flavorful. The decor of the tea room was simply stunning, creating an elegant atmosphere that enhanced the overall experience. Our server was exceptional, taking the time to walk us through the tea process, as it was our first visit. She also made sure to capture some lovely pictures for us, which we really appreciated. While the restaurant is on the pricier side, we felt that the experience was absolutely worth it. We left feeling pampered and thoroughly satisfied.

Loved our visit here! They really gave us the full afternoon tea experience, including three courses and a tea of our choice. They were accommodating to my allergy requests as well. The food was amazing, the staff were lovely, and the building set the perfect ambiance. If you have the funds, I would recommend this experience.

It's definitely a fancy (and pricey) way to enjoy a cup of tea. I really like the cozy and charming atmosphere, it feels like a step back in time. The food is just okay, but the experience makes up for it. One of my daughters loves this place, so it’s become a special spot for us. I especially enjoy the colorful sugar, they add a fun touch to the tea time!

We made reservations for tea on a weekday. Highly recommend weekdays. It is not as crowded. There is street parking available only. We ordered the tea service for 3 people. It's very quaint in the dining room. Decorated in a rich victorian style. Reservations are recommended. The scones were lovely with the chantilly cream. All the small sandwich bites were delicious and fresh. We each had our own choice of a pot tea. Accompanied milk options or almond milk available. They start you off with a trio of sorbet and butter tea cookie before the three tier of sandwiches come out to the table. This is a great treat for birthdays, meeting a friend or treating a loved one to lunch or high tea. The bathrooms are small water closets. It can be a tight squeeze for those who are tall or handicap. Friendly service and relaxing environment!
