Radius I loved it. Queer friendly. I took the fall and winter 10 week wheel throwing course with Twig and Jess. I was totally new to pottery and improved a lot over the two 10 week courses . For new students, it’s important to learn about the open studio times and make sure they work with your schedule. It helps you improve when you have time outside of class to practice. I made 20 pieces of pottery for each class. I spent a little bit of extra money in my second class for more clay and a few paints in colors I particularly wanted, but everything else was included. I thought it was worth the money. Great way to have a very present hobby.

Over the last 1.5 years, I've taken five 10- or 14- week wheel throwing / hand building classes at Radius, with three different instructors. Rin, Lela and Jess are all AMAZING 11/10. It's a lively communal space that is shared by students and members. My beginner's ceramics practice has been happily shaped by very experienced teachers, each with their own style, who make class exceptionally engaging! Highly recommend.

I took my first ever pottery (10-wk wheel throwing) class with Darah in the Fall, and all I can say is that I’ve fallen head-over-heels in love with pottery and with this studio. I just started another 10-wk class, this time with Lela, and I’m so excited. My plan is to take classes from all of the instructors, finances permitting, and to become a monthly member. All of the people I’ve met, including staff and instructors, are so kind and supportive. I feel incredibly grateful to have found this place, and I can’t recommend it enough.

I took wheel throwing with Alyssa and it was such a good experience! Alyssa is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging, and the staff in general are extremely friendly and helpful. I went in with zero clay or wheel throwing experience and came out with a bunch of cute mugs, cups, and bowls. One of my favorite parts was the mixed levels of experience in my class. Several of the other students have years of experience, and it was always fun to see their creative process and skills. Highly highly recommend Radius.

Radius Art Studio is an incredibly supportive and welcoming space, and Kiki is a standout instructor. I took two hand-building classes with her with no ceramics experience beyond high school, and she made the learning process fun, approachable, and confidence-building. Kiki is excellent at teaching adults at different skill levels—she’s encouraging, patient, and truly invested in helping everyone do their best work. Radius also has unmatched open studio amenities, and the staff are knowledgeable and always willing to help. I’m looking forward to becoming a community member someday. Highly recommend, especially if you can take a class with Kiki!

This is my happy place! All of the instructors are super talented and kind. I highly recommend their classes, checking out the shop and art shows!
