We had a wonderful experience with our Trainer Max. Very informative and knowledgeable. Our pup is completely deaf and originally thought it would be more difficult to train. Max showed us that every dog is trainable and is eager to learn. It has been a rewarding experience for us all. We will for sure recommend Ready, Set,Train and we will be signing our pup for a group class next.

I chose Ready Set Train because they use POSITIVE reinforcement-based training, which was really important to me. My dog was attacked by another dog a couple of years ago, and since then he’s been reactive toward strangers and other dogs. I started private sessions with Max, and over the summer I’ve seen major improvements in my dog’s behavior. The trainers are KNOWLEDGEABLE, SUPPORTIVE, and GENUINELY CARE about their clients. Their classes are also AFFORDABLE, which I really appreciate. Since this summer, I’ve continued training and have already completed two other group class packages with them.

Max at Ready, Set, Train made such a positive impact on us and our puppy, Reggie! His leash pulling, digging, and barking at every dog were driving us crazy. Max patiently worked with us, first at our house to manage his reactions; then at Wildwood, where we honed Reggie's leash walking and social skills. With consistent practice of Max's techniques, Reggie's behavior has transformed in just a few months. It's now fun to take him on walks and introduce him to friends. We're so excited to continue our journey with a Ready, Set, Train class this fall. Thank you, Max!

Max is the only trainer I trust in the Toledo area with my own clients. I have referred clients to him for the last couple of years knowing that they are in capable hands. He specializes in working with aggressive dogs, resource guarding and dog to dog integration (among other things). Many clients benefit from a trainer who makes house calls to work with the problem behavior where it happens. I know Max will only use positive, science based training methods that will not harm or hurt your dog. We are excited to continue our collaboration with Ready Set Train and expand the positive training community in our area! Also, I personally enjoy taking classes from Max and my dog Shilo is IN LOVE with him!

I've taken 7 of my dogs to Max's classes. He trains us to train and even after graduation, gives us the tools to successfully communicate with our pups and thus get their best behavior. I've learned so much and because of these classes several of my jealous dogs have stopped guarding behavior and each one now has a great recall and responds enthusiastically as Max teaches us to always be positive with our dogs and motivate them. My dogs all love going to class and so do I! Every student gets one-on-one coaching to assist with perfecting the techniques and timing of rewards. Max also has other trainers assisting during class so you're never alone in wondering how to achieve best results with the different commands you learn. Max said "dogs live in the moment" and that has really stuck with me and given me so much better understanding how to motivate my dogs. I encourage all my dog friends and clients to take classes here and form that irreplaceable bond that ensues when we can effectively communicate with our dogs. I've also started Rally classes and am able to be off-leash with my Malinois boy. The things I've learned have added so much to his need for constant mind and body workouts. I'm blessed to have found Ready Set Train. Thank you for sharing your knowledge Max, Megan, Corey and others that assist. Your patience, positivity, and love of animals encourages me every day.
