DO NOT TAKE YOUR BELOVED COMPANION HERE. THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH THE RISK OR OUTCOME. I picked up my friend’s dog and was so sad to receive him in the condition that I did. His sweater smelled of urine and the coat around his paws and legs were stained with what I imagine was also urine and feces. He absolutely loves car rides and he just whined the whole time and seemed disoriented. When I got him home, he inhaled food and water. I gave him a bath after and he fought his sleep until I cradled him in a blanket. Shame on the owners and the company for allowing such mistreatment. My friend, the dog’s owner, complained the same day as pickup and there was ZERO accountability and they were just dismissive. The excuse was that he had separation anxiety and didn’t want to eat their food - isn’t that the purpose of the “complimentary” assessment? I was listed as the emergency contact and not once did they notify me of his state. THESE PEOPLE ARE GREEDY, UNETHICAL, AND INHUMANE. ** Update: Not only are the owners negligent, but they are deceitful. They claimed to have refunded the boarding fees, but that’s impossible since the service was paid for in cash. I’m astonished that this place is still in business.

Disappointed.. this was his second stay.. when my friend went to pick my baby up for me she said he smelled like old piss. He was very filthy and when she got him to her house he was starved. He scarfed food and drank a ton of water.. he was so sleep deprived he was fighting sleep ( which told me he was scared to sleep) .. it's been at least 6 hours and he's completely a different dog.. he used to be full of energy always wanting to chase balls or play but now he wants to stay under the bed or asleep on my lap. He is very traumatized.. please DONT take your dog here.. if I had e done my research and read the reviews on this place I wouldn't have taken him .. please read ALL the reviews on this place .. dogs have died in their care or been hurt.. even sedated , or starved .. one full day and night the first time three days two nights the last ...... EDITED REVIEW .. DECEMBER 17 2025.... IT'S FUNNY HOW THE WOMAN THAT PICKED UP MY DOG WHO POSTED A REVIEW THEY RESPONDED TO HER BY SAYING THEY OFFERED OR REFUNDED MY MONEY I PAID $90 IN CASH THAT'S 45.00 A NIGHT I DID NOT GET OFFERED A REFUND OR I WOULD HAVE ACCEPTED THE OFFER I TRIED TO CALL THEM TODAY NO ANSWER I'M WONDERING WHERE MY MONEY IS IF THEY REFUNDED I'M VERY DISAPPOINTED DO NOT BRING YOUR DOGS HERE THEY'VE BEEN HURT SEDATED AND TRAUMATIZED REPORTED FROM OTHER PATRONS

Sadie, my 1.5 year Pitbull, German Shepard, Siberian Husky, Australian Cattle Dog mix, loves coming here. She's socialized and exhausted when I pick her up typically 8-9 hours later. She's also had no issues that I've seen when I've done multi-day overnight dog boarding. One thing that I always notice when I pick her up that I there is very little to no kennel smell. To me that shows how clean they keep their business. I also really appreciate their pre-paid packages, which makes dog boarding much more affordable.

This place holds one of the worst experiences I have ever had. This happened 1 year ago. I took my sweet old pup there for a few day care trials in anticipation of a potential 10 day stay. He seemed to liked it so I went ahead and book his long stay. Conin was at Safe Journey a total of 5 days and he died. They emailed me while I was abroad to tell me my dog had not eaten in 3 days and that he was in poor health. 3 days! I immediately had a family friend go pick him up and 24 hours later he was dead. Not only this has been dramatic and absolutely devastating, but I also had to deal with the complete and utter lack of responsibility Safe Journey decided to take regarding this after I arrived back in the US. I received long emails from them with just excuses. I strongly believed that my dog was left in isolation, not fed and not cared for at all. He was so dehydrated when my friend picked him up, that even after 24 in intensive care they could not revive him. This place is extremely dodgy, they thrive themself as specialized in "difficult dogs", and so i trusted these people with my 15 year old mutt. He was a healthy old pup, and within 5 days he became ill and died. They took no responsibility, they did not offer to reimburse me for the days he did not spend in there, there was zero care, only a bunch of excuses. The recent number of horrible review have encouraged me to speak up. At the time, I reported them to the better business bureau. I strongly encourage you to do the same if you had a poor experience there. Below is a photo of Conin on August 24th (the day I dropped him off) and the photo of him 6 days after. Bless him.

We've been taking our dog here since 2016 and we couldn't be happier with the level of service we receive. Our dog, Xena, loves staying here because she never gets kenneled and can run around with a pack of dogs all day long. They are also extremely accommodating when we need to drop her off early, or if we need to leave her overnight on the fly. Great service! 100% recommend!
