This place charges a 3% fee for credit card purchases. That is fine, however, I used my debit card and was still charged this fee. Card processors do not charge this fee for debit...only credit, and there is a distinguishable difference. Most auto repair and tire places disclose the fee on credit, but I have never been charged this fee on debit..until now. The sign posted at this location even states "3% fee on all credit card transactions". It's absolute BS that you're charging it on debit too, when, let's be honest here, YOU aren't even being charged this fee. Because of this, I will not be returning to any of the locations of this business.

This is an awesome place to stop in to have a tire repair done, or if you need a replacement tire on the cheap, and in a hurry! Every time I need some help with a tire on my vehicle, this place takes care of it, quick, fast, and in a hurry! The guys who perform the work on customer's vehicles seem to be knowledgeable enough, and they are certainly fast, and the lady who runs the shop/office is super helpful, and always polite, and nice, and makes sure that I am getting exactly what I need, and am paying for each time I have ever had a need to stop by here. If you are in this general area of Richmond, and find yourself in need of a new or used tire, or even just a tire repair, Sam's New and Used Tires will absolutely accommodate your needs. Trustworthy, friendly people, and fair pricing... What more can you ask for in a new & Used tire shop?!

Got 2 used tires fo $90, today (2 days later) i took it in for an inspection and they said one of them was only at 7% tread, the average at this price range is 40-70%. Just took it back with both receipt’s and they tried to charge me for another one. Very rudely insinuated that with the used it’s like playing roulette so their shitty inventory is my fault. No one pays any money to get 7% and thats not near industry standard even for low end used tires. For reference, my front tires which are also used but from a different shop were installed over a year ago at about same price and are still around 60% tread life. I gave them a second star because after having to fight them on it they finally agreed to put another on. The workers barely spoke english so when she finally told them to do it they tried replacing the wrong tire. Since any trust i had in this place evaporated after this experience i took it back to the inspectors just to recheck the tread. Both tires are now between 3-4 on the tread depth gage. Thats roughly 30% or 10% below minimum industry standard. I will be lucky to get 7k miles out of them.

Sam is the best!!! I went there to change my tire with a used one. They figured out there’s a big nail and they put a patch on it for $10. I didn’t need to change my tire. Also, checked tire pressure of all my tires. Everything was done within 5 minutes. They do accept card payment and also gave me a receipt. I absolutely recommend Sam’s tire.

Sometimes you need a tire shop like Sam's, especially if your daughter has a fondness for curbs. I showed up at Sam's on a Sunday at 8:15am and was out of there with a brand new, used tire within 30 minutes. The price was amazing. Gigi worked the office with a smile while Alberto and Bruco worked the socket driver and pulled tires. This place saved the day.
