This man came for a free estimate for replacing my ceiling light in the kitchen. Before we agreed to the cost, he tried to open my ceiling light which fell apart, and he could not/didn’t put the effort to return my light as it was before. He apologized for that. Then I did not agree to pay him the ridiculous amount he wanted me to pay him—$ 100 per light (just a replacement recessed light). When I disagreed with his price, he told me I would not get anyone to do my job. Not only that. He started talking about me to the painter I hired to paint my house and that I wanted to pay him very cheap, and I would not get anyone with the price I wanted him to replace the light. For your next estimation visit, remember that you do not get to say to them that no one will do their job. Second, you do not leave your customer with broken light that you broke. Third, I don't remember discussing the price with the handyman you found in my house. You go if you don’t like it. Fourth, be realistic, do not try to rip home honors!
