He brings the perfect balance of encouragement, accountability, and expertise. Every workout is tailored to my goals, and he makes sure I’m challenged without ever feeling overwhelmed. Michael also pays close attention to form and safety, which has helped me build strength and confidence without injury. He pushes me to do more than I thought I could, but he does it with positivity and humor that makes the time fly by. I’ve been working with Michael for a while, but most recently and what I wanted to share is my experience now that I am 10 days post-hip replacement surgery. Michael met with me before the surgery and gave me all the questions I needed to go over with my surgeon, including movement, restrictions, PT and everything post surgery. This really helped create a useful conversation with the surgeon and for me to understand what recovery would look like. The surgery itself went really well, but I’ve had some nerve pain complications and some issues tolerating some of the pain medications. He’s been understanding and has modified the initial post surgery treatment plan to fit how I’m feeling real time. He has been excellent with empathy, helping me know what I can and shouldn’t be doing, and allowing me to recover in a way that I needed to… That is, not pushing the PT and movements that weren’t good for me at the time. He also knows when to step in and get your PT kick started with the perfect amount of encouragement. He’s helped several others rehab after joint replacement and their results regarding how quickly they are able to return to full movement is incredible. My journey will be different than theirs, and Michael is tailoring recovery to my situation, my pain levels, my abilities. He cares about his clients and it shows. I highly recommend him for anyone dealing with a joint replacement and please engage him well before surgery because he will start physically training you in a way that will help you recover better even before you go in for the procedure. And you will know what questions to ask your surgeon and what to expect in recovery. He’s the BEST!!!

I came to Anton with severe arthritis in my knee, which made movement painful and limited. My name is Karl and I'm a month shy of 66. I began training twice a week with Anton just over 1 year ago because I knew I needed to strength train but lacked the discipline to do it consistently on my own. My overall strength and flexibility has improved significantly from where I started. Anton is attentive to what you say and pushes you in a safe and productive manner.
