Simply Marie’s has the feel of a classic diner. Service was excellent and the food took less than 5 minutes to come out. The food was delicious too, will definitely be trying all of the omelettes. Highly recommend, this place deserves to have a line out the door every day.

This place is a complete rip off. I went here today about an hour ago. As soon as I pulled up, I rang the doorbell to be answered by the owner who was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE off first instinct. I get to the register and stated that I would like steak and grits. She specifically asked me what kind of steak because she had two kinds on her menu as she handed the menu. I still didn’t see the types of steaks that she was referring to so she proceeds the say “ I have a T-bone steak witches $25 and I have another steak didn’t specify the cut which was $8” and originally I had came in there for the T-bone steak and egg platter but as soon as I got to the dorm was greeted by her nasty attitude. I knew that I wasn’t going to be spending that much money in this establishment. So I said OK give me the eight dollar steak and grits. She rings me up, and I forgot to mention that I wanted to add a drink so she rang the drink up separately which wasn’t an issue. The bottle of Ginger Ale costed $3 and some change. After that, she told me to have a seat and wait for my food so about 10 minutes past and I get my food and she asked how did I hear about her restaurant and I politely explain to her that it was funny that she asked that because my mother went to College with her son Robert and so on. Her demeanor completely changed after that moral of the story is I will not be back here. This is my first time coming here, but this is my first time feeling like my money was wasted after I returned back to my car and tasted the grits, they were super runny, not sweet even though I did ask her to sweeten them and she stated to me that I could put my own sweetener in them NOT stating that she wouldn’t give me sugar in the bag. ALSO the “Steak” was basically just overly SALTY STEAKUM STEAK. This lady is rude and disgusting and I don’t care how good her food is this place gets zero stars because of her customer service if you ask me. I will be notifying my family not to support this place anymore. This is unfortunate.

Had a great experience at this restaurant. This is my second time visiting from Detroit and I love the food. Small family owned diner with really great quality food. The owner is the cook! Highly recommend the seafood omelette and the home style potatoes!
