I adopted my pup, Beckett, in April of 2025 after seeing him on Petfinder and falling in love. He was an ex street dog with a goofy grin, happy eyes, and mismatched ears. When he got to me, it was clear I had my work cut out for me. Beckett didn't know basic commands. He didn't respond to his new name (or any name, really). Despite his sweet and loving personality, Beckett was hyperactive, leash reactive with other dogs, and frankly a bit overwhelming. Despite loving this dog, I felt like I was drowning. Then Sit Means Sit came into the picture. Sit Means Sit turned my adorable tornado of fuzzy chaos into a (still adorable and energetic) dog that understood me. Where there was a complete disconnect before when it came to commands, it was as if Sit Means Sit was Beckett's lightbulb moment. He started understanding commands left and right. He became more focused, eager to learn, and confident. I can't thank Sit Means Sit enough for everything they've taught my sweet pup.
We’ve had such an amazing experience with Casper’s training at this facility! Casper has made so much progress, and we finally feel comfortable taking him out in public without worrying about his reactivity. The confidence we’ve gained is truly life-changing. 🫶🏼 I have to give a huge shoutout to Kaylee, our trainer. She’s absolutely incredible! She works so well with Casper, understands him, and knows exactly how to help him learn and feel secure. Casper loves her, and it shows in how much he’s improved. We really appreciate her patience, knowledge, and the care she puts into every session. If you’re looking for a training facility that truly cares and delivers real results, we 100% recommend this place—especially Kaylee. She’s been such a blessing for us and for Casper!
My 9-month-old German Shepherd, Solo, has a ton of energy, and Sit Means Sit in Tigard has been amazing for us. The place command has been a total game-changer, and he’s really starting to understand when to chill and when it’s time to focus. Kaylee is awesome—super patient, easy to work with, and great with dogs. Highly recommend
I can’t express enough how wonderful Halle has been with helping me train my Belgian Malinois puppy Hailey. At first, I was hesitant to sign up because I wasn’t sure about using an e-collar for training, but I am so thankful I did. We started training in May of 2025, when my dog Hailey was only 5 months old. Halle is a natural at training challenging dogs, and she is incredibly patient and kind in her approach. She has spent extra time with me and Hailey, to ensure I am comfortable with the training techniques and has given Hailey and me a strong educational base to work with. I honestly feel this has also helped me have a stronger relationship with my dog. I can’t recommend Halle enough, she is very knowledgeable, easy to work with and gets results!
We had such a great experience with Ethan at Sit Means Sit! My Shiba's have gained so much confidence and are much happier dogs. They always get compliments on how well behaved and obedient they are. We used to really struggle with walks, keeping their attention on us, constant barking, jumping on people and obedience in general. Now I can easily walk both of them at the same time, place them somewhere and be confident they wont do their own thing, and the barking has significantly decreased. I am very happy we took the steps to properly get our dogs the much needed training they deserved. When I see them now I see two dogs that are not only confident in themselves but also confident in us, our bond is stronger now. Thank you Ethan and Sit Means Sit! The entire staff at Sit Mean Sit is great to work with, Ethan was our dogs main trainer and did a phenomenal job. He made sure we had all the tools necessary to be successful and was kind, very enthusiastic, easy to talk to, and just over all great.
