This place has completely changed the way I move! After 3 c-sections with nerve damage and no feeling for years, I'm finally able to feel deep activation in my core and pelvic floor. Soma Pilates Kanata has been such a lovely experience! Their admin team is fantastic — so quick to respond to emails and always kind and helpful, especially when I check in to see if the class is mostly women so I can comfortably unveil and fully enjoy my workout. I recently took a class with Kayla, and she was wonderful. As someone recovering from abdominal surgery, I felt completely supported. She took the time to explain each movement, provided gentle guidance, and offered modifications that allowed me to participate safely while still getting an effective session. The Kanata studio is impeccably clean, well-organized, and truly welcoming. The atmosphere is calm, professional, and uplifting. Soma Pilates is it! My daughter signed up with Soma a few months before she convinced me to try a class with her. I have been hooked ever since (going on 5 months now). I wasn't sure if Pilates was for me, I'm no spring chicken you know. Let me tell you, Pilates is for everyone, specifically Soma Pilates. When you join the studio, you join a community. Class sizes are small allowing for individualized attention from your instructors to ensure you maintain proper form to get the most out of your class. Speaking of instructors, they are legends, equal parts encouraging, knowledgeable, funny and just the right amount of "you got this, even if your core is on fire." The vibe is super welcoming. The studio is eat-off-the-floor level clean, spacious and bright, love the high ceilings. And their merch is adorbs!
