We can’t recommend Julie Riley and the Something Bleu team enough! We selected the partial planning package for our September 2025 wedding in Newport, Rhode Island, and from start to finish, Julie exceeded every expectation. During the planning process, Julie was instrumental in helping us bring our vision to life - from creating a stunning mood board to connecting us with her incredible network of trusted vendors. She is detail-oriented, responsive, and exceptionally organized - not a single email, question, or detail ever slipped through the cracks. Julie managed our vendor team, coordinated meetings, kept us on track with deadlines, and curated a comprehensive timeline that ensured everyone was perfectly aligned. Julie and the Something Bleu team exceeded every expectation—our wedding was absolutely perfect! We had the pleasure of working with Julie for our wedding this past May. We went with the Full Service Planning and Design package for our private estate wedding on Cape Cod. When we reached out to Julie in the fall of 2024 for a May 2025 wedding, we only had a faint idea of what we envisioned. Julie helped us build our day from the bottom up and it was truly a perfect day. From our first meeting with her, it was obvious that Julie has an incredibly personalized, organized approach to wedding planning. She began by understanding what we wanted our wedding day to look like and what our budget was. From there she outlined options for vendors (photographers, caterers, DJs, bridal stores and tux shops). She handled almost all of the communication with our tent and catering service, attending our tasting and decor meetings, and helped us facilitate communication with our photographer, florist, and DJ. It was very helpful that Julie was knowledgeable on local vendors having worked with many of them in the past, and she gave us great recommendations based on our budget. The months leading up to the wedding, Julie met with us regularly over zoom to check in, review logistics, and link us with vendors. She provided us a custom timeline checklist of monthly to-do’s and due dates. She was always accessible to us if we had any questions. She is on top of her emails, quick to respond, and not a single detail slips by her. As the day got closer, Julie provided us a two month out logistics timeline that provided structure and helped ease a lot of anxiety. With her outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, Julie was the “point person” and the glue holding together all the vendors on our wedding day. She was on her feet the entire time, addressing any issues that arose, or finding something to do, whether it was setting up the card box and table numbers, smoothing out the linens on the tables, directing guests when they arrived, or gathering groups for formal photos. She even helped me bustle my dress. While juggling a myriad of other things, Julie’s attention never left the bride and groom. She provided much needed words of encouragement and was regularly checking in to see if we needed anything. Julie made it her priority that we did not have to worry about a thing. Thanks to her, we were able to relax and enjoy every moment. In summary, Julie exceeded all of our expectations- she is beyond talented and hard working. What truly distinguishes her in this business is her warmth and compassion. It was clear that her goal was not to check boxes off a list, she really wanted to ensure we had an amazing day. Our wedding would not have been the day it was without Julie. Choosing Something Bleu as our wedding planning service was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding day. I wish that I could give her one thousand stars. On a personal level it was so nice getting to know her and I honestly will miss our meetings! She is so passionate about what she does, and she truly is the best of the best. We cannot recommend her enough!
We cannot recommend Julie/Something Bleu Weddings enough! We did the Event Management Package for our Labor Day 2024 wedding in Duxbury, MA. From 3 months out, Julie was a huge help in finalizing all of our logistics and coordinating our vendors so that everything went off without a hitch. In particular, we were worried about the logistics of our transportation as we were working across several locations about 15 minutes apart and Julie helped alleviate any concerns by being so organizing and getting the timeline down to a T! Everything ran so smoothly the day of and our parents and wedding party were very complimentary of Julie’s support. Something Bleu was always professional and highly responsive in communications with us and our vendors. Julie and her assistant Tina also made the decor we picked out look amazing and totally executed the vision we were going for! In addition, I had a million questions because I tend to get stuck in details and Julie was beyond patient and always willing to help us figure out the best decision. It was a perfect day and it wouldn’t have been what it was without Julie and Tina!
