Sorella was a great experience! The restaurant’s atmosphere is both beautiful and lively, making it a great spot for a group dinner. The chicken meatballs were a standout appetizer and a perfect way to start the meal. I ordered the short rib rigatoni — while it wasn’t my personal favorite, as it felt slightly overbaked and a bit dry, my colleagues truly enjoyed their dishes. A special shoutout to Stephanie, who went above and beyond to accommodate our group, even adjusting our table setup last minute when we expected more people. Stephanie, your flexibility and attentiveness were so appreciated — thank you for making our visit such a positive experience!
My son took us here to celebrate my birthday. We ordered roasted beet salad, arancini mortadella, sausage bruschetta, rigatoni alla vodka, baked ziti Genovese. We could not be happier! Wonderful food. Attentive but not intrusive staff!
Decided to stop for a bite to avoid weekend traffic on our way home. Sorella did not disappoint with its beautiful outdoor patio seating decorated for the fall. Our waiter Luis made wonderful recommendations and was very attentive. The food was fabulous. We ordered the Short rib Genovese pasta and half baked chicken with crispy potatoes. Both were delish! The weather was beautiful and just added to the ambiance
I have a lot to say 😅 First: atmosphere. We arrived at 8:10pm for an 8:30 reservation. It was the tail end of dinner rush, and we arrived expecting to wait for our table to be ready. We sat at the bar and had a drink while we waited. It was very cozy, hip, inviting. The wine list had lots of Italian options by the glass or bottle. (Sadly, a lot of “Italian” American restaurants do not.) I ordered a Prosecco and my husband ordered a spicy tequila cocktail that was perfectly balanced. Delicious. Our table was ready on time. We ordered several plates, all to share. Beet salad: 10/10 for my taste. Very well balanced, not too much dressing, just delicious. I could eat it every day. (I order the beet salad at any restaurant who serves one, this is now my fav.) Arancini: crispy outside, creamy and well seasoned inside. So good, would order again. Burrata with crispy chili & house bread: 100/10. Whoever thought of this deserves a raise. I’ve never had this flavor combo and now I crave it! Clam pizza (special): I really enjoyed this. The sauce had a slight kick of heat to it. The dough was very good, it was cooked well. Would probably order the Margherita next time since it’s our go-to at pizza/Italian places, but I’m glad I tried this. Ziti w/ragu: my least favorite dish. Anytime I see a “ragu” pasta on a menu, I order it. The ziti shape didn’t go well with the type of sauce (for my personal preference). Also, the sauce wasn’t as rich and comforting as lots of ragu’s I’ve had. It was still tasty and I’m enjoying the leftovers. Just didn’t knock my socks off like the burrata. I also ordered a glass of Barolo for dinner. Delicious. Overall- I loved this place and can’t wait to go back!
Ate here tonight for our anniversary. Our server was very attentive, and he really took care of us. I had the pork chop, and my wife had the pasta with Cavitali Monday sauce. Cocktails were great, atmosphere was great, pork chop was great. Overall, we had a really good time, and the food/atmosphere was perfect for a nice date night. The desserts were actually the highlight of the meal. Spectacular tirimisu and chocolate cake. Definitely one of the better Italian spots in Milwaukee.
