SOUK is fancy, with locker rooms and showers and nice hand soap, and priced accordingly. The teacher used a mic, which made it feel very "exercise class in Manhattan," and yet she had a passive-aggressive spiritual vibe that made me think she'd been in a cult at some point. Sort of the worst of both worlds, yoga-wise. The studio was also heated, I'm not sure to what temperature, which could have been more clear in the class description. It felt kind of suffocating. An overall irritating experience, which isn't the goal of yoga class.
This is the best yoga studio I’ve ever been to! I’ve been coming multiple times a week for almost two years. All the teachers are dedicated and experienced practitioners who work in longstanding lineages. They create a welcoming vibe and don’t take themselves too seriously. If you’re visiting town they also welcome drop-ins. Spacious studio and clean and slick locker rooms with showers
Lovely yoga studio with reasonably priced Sunday afternoon sessions, clean floors, and clean changing rooms etc. Showers are good, Matt are clean and anti slip and the teacher we had was very professional. The atmosphere was perfect and I had an amazing time and will come back for sure.
This is a studio entirely focused on sincere practice of yoga - and keeping a busy schedule so people can try different approaches. I’m solely focused on Ashtanga and very grateful to Souk for warmly hosting important, incredible teachers and offering a great program led by Michael Guiou. It’s a very convenient location, a low key but lovely space and pricing is very reasonable. I knew the owners had a good rep and I’m very glad to make this my yoga home.
SOUK Yoga Studio is one of the best studios I’ve been to hands down. A beautiful, huge and clean space, with warm and EXTREMELY knowledgeable teachers. I’ve been practicing at the studio for about two years and my yoga practice has evolved by leaps and bounds since that time. Whether you’re an experienced yogi or just starting out, you’ll feel completely at home here—and you’ll see real, meaningful progress in your practice. I’m grateful that I discovered SOUK!
