Stix & Stones delivered some genuinely great steaks — beautifully cooked and full of flavour — but the overall experience was a bit mixed. We ended up waiting quite a long time for our food, which took the shine off things. The atmosphere was lively, and the music had a fun, funky vibe, but it was far too loud for a dinner setting. I struggled to hear the friends sitting right beside me, so it’s definitely not the ideal venue if you’re hard of hearing or hoping for proper conversation. On the positive side, the décor is gorgeous and the staff couldn’t have been friendlier. There’s a lot to love here, but the noise levels and wait times made it harder to fully enjoy what could have been a brilliant meal.

Bad steak experience… though I really do feel like this was a one-off as this restaurant came very highly recommend to me by trusted sources! We requested our steaks be cooked by the chefs rather than on a hot plate at the table (I don’t want to go out for dinner and have to cook my own food), to which the staff were more that happy to accommodate - they did give us the option after all. We waited quite a while (maybe 35 mins) for our food to arrive, but it was busy and we hadn’t booked so fair enough. The steaks were very chewy and hard to swallow which we raised with the waiter who offered us a new steak immediately - we declined and had free dessert instead. Can’t fault the staff or the vibes, just bad luck on the steak front. Dessert was tasty and the starters too.

Lovely restaurant for family and friends. The environment allows for you to have great conversations even in the midst of a large group. The location is also in the heart of Belfast city centre making it accessible for ease of transportation.

Best steak I’ve ever had! Ordered a medium rare 8oz fillet and it was cooked to perfection. The pepper sauce is a must to pair with your steak, it’s exquisite. The tiramisu, to die for. Great service as well provided by Adam who made the experience that the more memorable. The head chef, Kieran, even personally came out to thank my compliments for what was an all round fantastic meal.

What a fun experience, cooking the steak on a hot stone. All the food was delicious but the baked Alaska was my absolute favourite. Will definitely be back again.
