Mike has done several mortgages and a couple of re-fi's for me over the last 10+ years. I tried another mortgage company at one point because I had just started my business and someone recommended this other company. Long story short, the other mortgage company couldn't get it done. Seller's nearly bailed due to the delays by the other mortgage company, but Mike and his team came in and saved the day getting the deal done in record time.
Mike provided a very attractive rate for our mortgage and was generally very responsive to emails and calls. Unfortunately he was very slow to respond to our requests for pre approval letters, and on a few occasions stated that he would respond by a certain time, and then not following through. He also criticized another lender's offer as being unethical for only provided 2 months of taxes in the closing costs, only for him to put the same thing in his offer. We almost went with him due to his low rate, but in the end decided to go with a lender who we felt was more reliable. This decision was validated by Mike's response when I informed him that we'd go with another lender, he was extremely unprofessional. I will simply quote his response: "Wow - not sure who's willing to work for less than 1% - that's pathetic. 1% is all I was making. We put a lot of time into generating documents for you and I had the appraisal waived. Unbelievable"
