I live in Denver so it was a drive for me to get to the spa for me to have a less than satisfying experience. I booked the spa trip as a birthday treat as well. The massage itself was really nice. The masseuse knew it they were doing and made sure to take care of the tight areas on my body, however, the website advertises a view of the mountain, which was not present in the spa side at all. It was also disappointing that the hot tub and pool area for a soak is not available to paying customers only for those staying at the hotel. This is disappointing because the other spas that I have been to that are around the same price Have more amenities And allow their customers who pay for massages to access hot tubs, multiple saunas, the fitness room, experience showers, salt rooms, and much much more for the same base price. When I arrived, all rooms were really cold. The temperature was not above 66° it appears from what the thermostat Said. The waiting area was chilly, even though the heaters were on I did not feel Very much heat coming off of Them and the blankets were very chilly not warm at all that were provided. The salt room was also very cold and the explanation was so that people are able to sit on the benches, but I should be able to sit in the room without goosebumps as well because of how chilly it was given that everyone only has a robe on… overall, I probably will not go back to the spa for any kind of services and I’ll stick to spas in Denver and other spas located in the mountains. For the cost of the spa on top of a mandatory 22% gratuity tip it’s not worth the drive or the experience when I can get a much better experience at a different spa for around the same price without a mandatory gratuity tip and access to a warm plunge with warm rooms and warm towels. The tip would have been added at the end of my experience anyway, but making it mandatory lets me know that this spa understands that they offer less than what they could. I recommend a spa in Blackhawk instead. I’ll try a different spa in Colorado Springs and see how I like those but I will not be back to this one.
I’ve been visiting Strata and getting medical massages from Rebekah for two plus years. She is extremely knowledgable, responsive to areas of need and has a wonderful temperament. Getting treatment from her has positively impacted my health journey!
Very disappointed with our visit. Despite knowing that the sauna in the men’s room was broken and that the steam room and Himalayan salt room in the women’s area weren’t working properly, no one informed us before our appointment. We specifically came to enjoy the amenities, and none of them were functioning. When we mentioned this to the front desk, they were dismissive and rude instead of offering any apology or solution. Extremely disappointing experience.
Did a couples massage and had a great time, however I was a bit disappointed by the facilities in the locker room. The men’s steam room was broken (was not advertised ahead of our appointment) and in the women’s, the steam room and rock spa couldn’t get steamy enough despite my best efforts. It was cramped with a lot of guests in the room that day (which is not the spas fault) but I so wished the couple groups of women in there would have been mindful of the no phones/ no loud conversations policy. Couldn’t quite relax and unwind like we wanted to :/
I just wanted to take a moment to let anyone know who’s considering a service at Strata Spa—don’t hesitate! What makes this spa truly exceptional is the people. Everyone is so sweet, kind, and caring. Seriously, the emphasis is on caring. I’ve been coming here for over two years, and now I make it a point to get a massage every week and a facial once a month. My standards are generally pretty high, but Strata Spa meets or exceeds them every single time. Special shoutout to Mark at the front desk—he always goes above and beyond to make sure I’m well taken care of. And my massage therapist, Rebekah, is hands down one of the most skilled therapists I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with, anywhere in the world. Also, the amenities are out of this world. The steam room is incredible, and the shower with its 10 spray heads? Amazing. If you’re looking for a top-notch spa experience, this is the place. Highly recommend!
