Our son just completed his second week at Strong Heart Academy and we are extremely pleased. The owner Mike fosters a strong sense of community, respect and discipline while keeping it fun. We look forward to watching our son grow and learn at Strong Heart Academy.
Incredible martial arts school, they just do it the right way. Professor Mike is such a down to earth guy. They have great teachers, the kids’ programs are outstanding. Great culture, really a wonderful part of the community.
This place is great, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to learn self defense or looking for a fun way to get in shape. I was looking for a gym for my kids to learn a little self defense and after watching one session I was signed up too. Professor Mike really breaks things down so that you can learn not just the techniques, but how and why you would want to use them. The culture here is exactly what you would want, everyone works hard and competes. We have found everyone to be genuinely kind and supportive of one another. We looked at several places to train, but I am really glad we found Strongheart.
I’ve only been in a mixed martial arts studio, once since my wife passed away. Unlike the previous studio in Maricopa, I found this to be a welcoming facility. The professor Mike, as well as several people greeted me, even though I was standing on the outside and observing. The facility was clean. There were several instructors working in groups of four, unlike other studios I’ve seen in Maricopa where there are way too many students for the instructor. It was emotional walking in to a place. I swore I would never walk in again., But I shouldn’t let a couple of bad studios in Maricopa determine the rest of my life. I wish I wasn’t an hour away from home or I would definitely join this place just based upon my interactions.. I’m a pretty good judge of character in this place was full of character. I recommend anybody in the area to come try it out. It was great therapy for me just to watch.
I had the pleasure of visiting this gym when I was on vacation in Phoenix. Not only were they extremely welcoming, they meet you where you are in your journey. The coaches were extremely patient and the classes were very structured. I love the knowledge I gained while visiting and that I was able to bring it back to my home gym and apply it. 10/10 recommend. I will be definitely be going back the next time I’m in the area. Great atmosphere and great people.
