I've known Adam for over 20 years, and from the very first haircut he gave me, it was clear he's truly exceptional at his craft. His precision with scissors is unmatched, and his quick wit makes every appointment feel fun and effortless. What makes Adam stand out even more is the trust he builds — he remembers you, your preferences, your stories, and he treats every appointment as if you're catching up with an old friend, even if months have passed. Beyond his talent, he's kind, genuine, and fully present. He doesn't just style hair — he makes people feel seen, confident, and cared for.
Adam is a gem of a soul. I just had my second haircut with him and my hair is beautiful! I have full trust in him with my hair. He is just so so fun to chat with as well. Honestly I’d probably pay to sit in that chair and just chat with him. He is so kind and funny and has the best energy. I’m so glad I found him. I highly highly recommend his haircuts!
Adam Turner’s haircuts (bookable on Structure’s site) changed my life. I’m not exaggerating and no he did not pay me to make this post 😅. Adam is *very* very good at what he does. He can take my vague description of what I want, merge that with what will look good for my face shape and hair type, and quickly do a cut that is somehow exactly what I want, looks good without needing blow drying or styling, and will keep looking good for six months to a year after each cut ! How did this change my life? Growing up, my dad cut my hair until I went to college, and I honestly don’t even remember how I got my haircut through my 20s. I just didn’t pay that much attention, but I did always wonder why other people‘s hair would look great and mine never quite did. I moved to Seattle in 2015 and a friend referred me to Adam. That first cut, I went from long long hair to below my chin. Over the years, we’ve done long, we’ve done short, I’ve changed things around, for every request Adam respects what I want and also makes my hair look *good* It’s hard to describe the shift that can happen in your life when you have “good hair.” You have more confidence, and from that people take you a little more seriously, and life can just go a little better for you. When I first met Adam I was at what we call rock bottom, since then, and over the last decade, things have just kept getting better. It’s taken me several years to write this review ha ha because it’s personal and emotional, but anyway – if you’re looking for someone to cut your hair, I cannot recommend Adam more highly, honestly I couldn’t recommend anyone for any service more highly. Best wishes to you - it’s good to be the person with good hair :)
I cycled through a lot of stylists when I moved to Seattle trying to find someone who “gets” my hair, and eventually (finally!) found Alexander Scott - I’ve been going to Alexander for a two years now and I love that I can trust him to guide me on color and cut. I get so many compliments on my hair from people wanting to know where I go, and I’m always happy to point them to Alexander. I’ll bring in a handful of inspo photos and ask how he’d apply the general vibe to my hair, and he always comes up with something amazing that works well for my hair goals, and explain how he gets there. He also gently guides me away from ideas that might not have been the best from me, and suggested alternatives, which I so appreciate. I don’t spend a lot of time styling my hair and don’t want to have to get touch ups every few weeks, and the color technique Alexander does allows me to go a few months between appointments. I really appreciate how he knows my hair goals and does my hair in a way that works with my lifestyle and the time (or lack or) I have for daily maintenance / styling. Also, shoutout to his dog Oliver. I book my appointments on days Ollie is at the salon… sweetest bub in the world. Thanks Alexander!
Structure’s environment, vibe, setup, personnel, and owners are absolutely wonderful. Everything feels intentional and totally elevated. Expect to be greeted and treated with kindness—no “Seattle freeze” we (don’t lie) have become accustomed to by so many other storefronts and folks. Alexander Scott has been my go-to stylist since I moved here over a year ago. From the moment he put shears to hair—before color, mind you! 🤩—I knew he was “it” for me in this city. Part of what I love about Alexander’s process is that he truly clarifies specifically what you’d be looking for: he asks questions about preferences to manage expectations; he is pragmatic and realistic about what can and cannot be done in one sitting. About this and many other things, he has excellent feedback, recommendations, and taste. We’ve been long, we’ve been short, we’ve been darker and lighter. Through all of it my hair has stayed strong and healthy, which is so important to me. Alexander’s balayage and hair cutting skills are probably some of the best in Seattle, to say nothing for his experience and knowledge of all things hair. As mentioned above, the owners have hearts of gold, Johnathan is such an angel! It’s rare to have such visibility alongside humility and kindness. I truly cannot recommend this establishment or Alexander highly enough! 💕
