I can’t recommend Taming the Wild enough! My dog, Millie, started out with a lot of impulse control issues like jumping, barking, pulling on the leash, and more. I enrolled her in there 3-week board and train, and while I was definitely nervous dropping her off (especially with her barking and being unfamiliar with the environment), she absolutely thrived there. Our trainer, Ashley, worked incredibly well with Millie and taught her so many commands that she still uses daily. Ashley consistently sent pictures and videos of Millie’s progress, which was so reassuring and showed just how much she was learning. Millie learned commands like Heel, Stay, Place, Down, Off, Out, and the results have been amazing. She no longer pulls when walking on a leash and can even walk off-leash, which I never thought would be possible. The improvement she made in such a short time is incredible. If I learned anything from this experience, it’s to trust when they say “consistency is key.” Taming the Wild truly sets both the dogs and owners up for success.
My wife and I would recommend Taming the Wild to everyone! Our dog, Scout, went through the two-week board-and-train program and came back a completely different dog. Before training, Scout constantly pulled on walks and jumped on everyone she met. Afterward, she was a completely different dog. The transformation was beyond what we expected, and we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We worked with Ashley and she was so easy to work with. We were both sad about leaving our dog for two weeks but the constant texts and pictures of Scout put our minds at ease. So thank you to everyone at Taming the Wild!
My dogs had an amazing experience with Ashley as their trainer. I noticed a significant change in their behavior, and I felt that I was always receiving valuable information and support. Even after the training program was completed, Ashley followed up to check on their progress. I highly recommend this training school to everyone I know. It offers a fantastic educational experience for both puppies and their owners.
10/10 Recommend Taming the Wild! The entire experience with Taming the Wild was excellent from start to finish. The booking process was seamless, and they were incredibly accommodating with some last-minute schedule changes, which I really appreciated. I have a 4-year-old lab who went through a training program elsewhere when he was 2, so I was looking for a refresher program to reinforce the commands and skills he had learned but wasn’t consistently following. Taming the Wild created a customized training program tailored to exactly what he needed. Ashley was absolutely amazing—she sent daily updates and photos, which gave me so much peace of mind while I was out of town. It was clear my dog was in great hands and thriving under her care and guidance. If you’re looking for a reliable, professional, and truly caring training and boarding program, I can’t recommend Taming the Wild enough!
When we decided to send Tucker to Taming the Wild, he needed help with minor impulse control and responsiveness to commands. Tucker’s high energy made it challenging for us to manage his behavior. After his training with Emily, he came home a changed dog. While he’s still energetic, we’ve learned how to help him channel that energy in a positive way. His behavior and impulse control have improved significantly. He now responds well to commands and direction. Emily did an outstanding job with Tucker, and we highly recommend her to anyone considering obedience training.
