I had to visit Tanasbourne Emergency Pet Clinic last night-something no pet owner ever wants to experience. From start to finish, everyone was incredibly kind, professional, and accommodating. I called ahead to make sure they could see us, and upon arrival, we were welcomed warmly and got into a room quickly. I really appreciated their check-in process-completely digital, with no papers to fill out by hand, all done conveniently on my phone. We were in and out in just under two hours on a Thursday night, which felt like a huge relief. I'm especially grateful to the doctor who performed a quick ultrasound on my kitty to ensure there were no obstructions. They also followed up the next day to check on her, which really meant a lot. Highly recommend Tanasbourne Emergency Pet Clinic for anyone needing compassionate and efficient care for their pets. I ended up having three visits here three days in a row because my cat wasn’t doing well. They also arranged to have a ultrasound done for my kitty on a weekend and I greatly appreciate that to help identify why she’s been sick.
Can not say enough about how great my experience has been here. My cat has been through a lot these past few months, and there was a period of two weeks when I was here almost every other day (I work into the late night and it can be hard to get my cat into her regular vet sometimes). The staff is so incredibly kind and non judgmental. Any bad news we received was given with so much grace and kindness. And when the bad news ended up being not as bad as we thought, and her condition could potentially be cared for, the vet we spoke to gave us realistic hope for my Peanut. She received wonderful care here, and every time I called with a worry or anxiety about her symptoms or anything unusual with her, they were so helpful over the phone and were able to save me quite a few unnecessary vet visits. I really feel like the staff here cares for all their animal patients, and for the humans that come with them, too. Thanks again for everything! It has been a great joy to see my Peanut starting to act like her normal self again, thanks to all the help she was able to get here. EDIT: unfortunately, about a week after this review, Peanut lost her battle with a rare type of cancer. So now I can also attest to their euthanasia services. Dr Johnson was direct in his diagnosis and explanation of her symptoms. This may not work for everyone, but my discussion with him really helped me eliminate any doubts or worries I had about “is now the time? Is there really not more we can do?” The vet tech was super kind- I’m so sorry, I can’t remember your name, but you were lovely- and helped us say goodbye. Peanut got to go comfortably and peacefully, holding on to her favorite blanket and in my arms. The euthanasia process was explained to me in detail and ended up being peaceful, though quite fast. Unfortunately in Peanut’s case, speed was a necessity; I’m not sure if it’s always that quick. We had plenty of time to say goodbye, and time to return home to receive her favorite toy to send her off with. When we got back, the vet tech surprised us with an ink pressing of her nose print. It was a memento I never would have considered and I now cherish beyond words. The cremation process was also explained to us in detail, and we had time to pick out paw pressings, urn styles, etc. Ultimately, euthanasia is the worst experience we get as pet parents. The staff at tanasboune did everything they could to make it easy for us. Very thankful for all that you do here. Thanks to everyone’s efforts, I got to spend my last week with Peanut where she was feeling better and acting more herself, and that is a gift not all of us get at the end.
I have had the most wonderful experience at this place. I can not thank them enough. My 15 year old cat was not eating or drinking, vomiting, major diarrhea, and was treated for gastroenteritis. This was a horrible thing that happened to my poor girl and the staff here was beyond phenomenal. They treated her for 2 1/2 days and I have never been so grateful. She has already been so much better since she’s been home and she even opened up to most of the staff when she’s never been known to be friendly. She felt comfortable, and they updated me every single chance they got. To the doctors, thank you so much for your thorough research into figuring out what was wrong with my girl. And to the techs and assistants, I can’t thank you enough for being so warm and kind to my sweet girl Bella. I will be recommending everyone to this location if they ever need it. It was the most affordable emergency hospital I’ve ever been to, and upfront about the price the entire time and there were no hidden charges. Thank you again!
Thank you so much for saving Rugers life! He is doing so much better after all of the amazing care. And so grateful to the vet who tried to save us money by giving us options of what tests were necessary or not. Would highly recommend for any pet emergency, they really care and are willing to work with your financial situation to save your pet. To the lovely CVT(we didn’t catch her name but she all masked up and gloved and so kind to my dog) thank you for your patience with my little guy!
Dr. Nimand and all of the staff at Tanasbourne were amazing on one of the worst days of my boyfriend’s and I’s lives. Our Cookie boy had been acting odd and then started bloating - we called initially to see if they had “openings” but are so grateful they encouraged us to bring him to their clinic. Right when we stepped in they paid great attention to Cookie and made sure we understood each next step of triage and work up. They were transparent about cost which unfortunately is a huge factor when considering where you treat your pet. They went into great detail with each lab finding, explaining the options and why they would or wouldn’t work. Eventually we realized he had a lot of nodules of his liver and spleen and, when the tough decision had to be made, they were very helpful in our accepting the circumstances. They let us take as much time as we needed saying good bye and never made us feel uncomfortable or uncertain that we made the right choice. We will always miss our Cookie but are now forever grateful to Dr. Nimand and her staff for how they helped us on such an awful day. Between the cost transparency and being considerate of what you’re paying for, to the empathy and understanding as we took our time with our guy, I couldn’t recommend Tanasbourne enough if you’re concerned about your pet and need emergency help.
