Best dance studio we’ve tried! Ms Denise is so good with kids. She is patient and fun. The recitals are optional and the atmosphere is learning without the pressure.

I am so grateful to have found the Tap Dance Detroit location in Keego Harbor! I always wanted to try tap dancing, and this was the perfect entryway for me, in an 'absolute beginner tap class'. Denise is an awesome teacher: inviting, encouraging, and always with a smile and a story to share! I especially love being able to ask her about her days as a Rockette, and also LOVE that she is familiar with the classic movies of the Fred Astaire/Ginger Rogers (among many others) tap dancing era. Highly recommend this wonderful dance studio! Big thanks to Denise!!

If you are interested in learning to tap dance as an adult, this is the place to go! I tried 2 other places and really did not learn anything. Denise has a great instructional program and really breaks down the steps and then builds on them. It is great that each session is only 6 weeks and you can repeat a level or move up at your own pace.

I took the Absolute Beginner tap course and had such a fun time! Denise is a pro and I felt like she was able to pay attention to all of us while teaching the full class. Would definitely recommend for anyone interested in getting into tap dancing!

The kids classes at Tap Dance Detroit are top notch! Miss Denise is clearly passionate about making dance fun, inclusive and accessible for all ages and experience levels- what really impressed me is that while clearly having a blast the kids are learning “real dance” technique and terminology! The classes run in two month sessions, making it great for kids who may want to try out other styles or activities and are small in size so everyone gets ample attention. My daughter (4) has tried tap, ballet & hip hop jazz and loved them all- in fact, because of a schedule conflict we tried dancing at another studio but my daughter missed Miss Denise and the studio so much that we quickly came back!
