I went here for the free community clinic for pets, dogs and cats! It's actually always conducted outside in a park like setting, on a corner. The reason for the 3 stars is because of the locations they always choose. The areas are always run down, in places near the railroad tracks, where there are a lot of warehouses, and abandoned none working cars, and no parking spaces. They help the low income communities by giving free vaccinations, and free clinic for animals that normally don't get care a vet because of the high cost. And when you barely making a living yourself, these free services help those who normally couldn't afford it. It really helps me because I care for a colony stray and ferals that lives outside and homeless, and would never get any care. These free clinics do excellent work for the low income community. The stars again is just for the location. Has nothing to do with the Recreation Center itself. These free clinics take place outside of the center, and free to anyone who has a pet, that may be in need of vaccinations, or just need some food, or pets supplies like leashes and collars, and stuff. Wish the City of Oakland would do better beautifying our areas though, just saying!
