Another incredible meal at Teppan! This time we tried the weekly special of Japanese Beef Curry with chicken cutlet and it was incredible — the best we’ve ever had hands down. Was tasty, fresh and the perfect flavor. The Yakisoba is one of our favorite dishes as well. The flavor of the pork belly with the homemade sweet and savory sauce really takes it to another level. We are truly blessed to have a spot so authentic here in Lexington! Can’t recommend this place more! It is extremely affordable for the portions you get. The owner is incredibly friendly and truly cares and goes above and beyond for her guests. Can’t wait for our next visit!

If you’re looking for authentic Japanese cuisine and comfort food, this is the place to go. Owned and operated by a Japanese family that brings amazing food with great flavor. I highly recommend this place. Hope they open a second location in Hamburg one day.

Authentic real Japanese food! As a Japanese living in San Francisco, I can guarantee you this is one of the best & most authentic casual Japanese food restaurants in America. Even San Francisco doesn’t have a restaurant like this! (We have many pretentious overpriced “Omakase” restaurants.) People in Kentucky are very lucky! I visited here for dinner. I tired their food truck 2 years ago and I was very impressed by it. This time, I came to their newly-opened restaurant. The interior is clean and the counter seating was comfortable. It’s really exciting to see their weekly menu changes. When I was there, they served delicious Tontotsu ramen. Mamiko-san is always very friendly and full of smiles. Don’t forget to order Yakisoba and Gyoza! Try weekly menu items to expand your Japanese food palate! Highly recommended!

Not just authentic but real Japanese food! Limited menu with quick filling staples, perfect fast lunch. I've had the katsudon and the chop was huge! Also had some croquettes that were crispy and savory and delightful.
