Terra at Eataly Boston offers a remarkable dining experience, characterized by its warm ambiance and abundant greenery that creates a welcoming atmosphere. The meal began with freshly baked sourdough bread served with creamy buffalo butter—an excellent start to our evening. We shared an array of appetizers, including flavorful beef and chicken skewers that were simply unreal. As for our main courses, I opted for the halibut, which was accompanied by black kale, crispy chickpeas, and chopped sweet potatoes. Each bite was delicious and perfectly executed. My dinner companion selected the freshly made pasta with sausage, mushrooms, and a rich black truffle sauce that was a delightful highlight of the meal. The quality of food truly deserved a "Chef's Kiss." Additionally, the wait staff were not only knowledgeable about the menu but also personable, enhancing our overall experience. An added benefit was the validation for parking, making the visit even more convenient. Overall, Terra provides a perfect balance of taste, ambiance, and service. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful meal in Boston.

Our experience at Terra in Boston was extremely disappointing from start to finish. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, the food was shockingly bland and lacked any real flavor. Every dish we ordered felt underseasoned and uninspired, especially considering the prices. We expected authentic, well-executed Italian food and instead felt like we wasted our money. When we arrived, our party consisted of seven people. Shortly after being seated, we asked if we could add two more guests, a mother and daughter who were part of our group. Instead of handling this professionally or with any sense of hospitality, the manager approached us and stated that we would need to meet a $45 minimum per person just to add them. What made the situation even more uncomfortable was that we could clearly see the manager standing nearby and calculating whether we had already spent $45 per person before allowing the additional guests to join us. It felt awkward, invasive, and incredibly uncomfortable. The service did not improve the experience. The servers never smiled, did not seem happy to be serving us, and made the entire meal feel tense rather than enjoyable. There was no warmth or attentiveness, which you would expect from a restaurant of this reputation. The only positive aspect of our visit was the dessert menu, which was genuinely enjoyable and the only part of the meal that met expectations. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough to make up for the rest of the experience. Overall, the atmosphere felt awkward, the policies were poorly explained, and the lack of hospitality was very clear. We left feeling frustrated, uncomfortable, and disappointed. We will never eat here again and would not recommend this location to anyone.

The food was fine. The roasted pumpkin was burnt so we had to peel it. The dessert was good. The food took a long time to come to our table so be patient.

The famous tiramisu is on my list for a while, so when I happened to pass by, I decided to stop in for lunch. I was pleasantly surprised that not only was the tiramisu delicious and not too sweet, but the pasta was also excellent, both in flavor and texture! The interior is beautifully designed, with sunlight streaming through the glass and lush greenery all around, making the whole experience incredibly enjoyable. 🤩

Came for the famous tiramisu, but ended up loving everything we ordered! This cozy little spot inside Eataly has a charming, nature-inspired vibe with lots of greenery and a warm open kitchen where you can watch the grill in action. We started with the lamb skewers ($17.50) — nicely charred with that great charcoal flavor, though they could’ve been a bit juicier. The Cavatelli al Ragù di Terra ($32) was good but portion was kinda mini: the handmade pasta was perfectly chewy, and the pork and beef ragù was rich, hearty, and packed with flavor. The Tagliata ($49) was our favorite — a wood-fired strip steak grilled to perfection: juicy, tender, and paired beautifully with roasted peppers and creamy mashed potatoes. And of course, the Tiramisu ($17) was the perfect finish. The mascarpone cream was soft and melt-in-your-mouth, balanced just right with cocoa powder — light, luscious, and not overly sweet. We came at dinner time, so it was counter seating only, but the service was fast and attentive. Overall, a lovely experience — definitely coming back!
